A look at 65-year-old Akpan Joseph , will never pass him for a fraudster, owing to his seemingly calm disposition. But he is currently cooling his heels at the dreaded Lagos State Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Ikeja.
Reason? He was reported to have gone to one of the Ilorin branches of a first generation bank,on January 7, 2015, posing as one of the account holders , who had come to transfer the sum of N1 million from his supposed account , into two separate accounts, Meanwhile, the authentic account holder, a 35 year-old business man identified as Chinedu Mba, was murdered four months earlier by unknown gunmen in his apartment in Gindiri Jos, Plateau state.Back in the banking hall in Ilorin, Joseph was asked to sit down while the transaction was being processed. Unknown to him, the cashier who apparently suspected something was amiss, had called in the police. Joseph was reportedly arrested and later transferred to the Lion building division in Lagos. Thereafter, he was transferred to the SARS.On further checks, the late Chinedu Mba’s phone was also discovered from Joseph

Kelly Hansome has opened up on how his beef with MI affected his career but made the latter more successful .The artiste who had several rifts with many ranging from his former boss, Kenny Ogungbe to Don Jazzy, D’banJ,told Saturday Beats, “A lot of people take things too personal at times, especially MI and Baba Keke. They took my musictoo personal. If I did not beef MI, he would not be where he is today. I am not the one that made him, he has Chocolate City and Audu Maikori to thank for that and they are my friends but at the end of the day, it was a marketing strategy for them. I put him at a point where people could listen and appreciate his music. I am looking forward to us working together.
“MI is at the top of his game; he has several endorsement deals. Because of the issues I had, the endorsement I was supposed to have with Globacom was cancelled and I don’t blame the company"

Unmarked grave for Saudi king
Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah, one of the richest men in the history of the world, was carried in a simple white shroud to an unmarked grave on Friday in a Riyadh cemetery where many of his commoner subjects rest, in keeping with ascetic traditions.
The Saudi state school of Wahhabi Sunni Islam holds ostentatious displays of grief or mourning to be sinful, akin to idolatry.

Arsene Wenger criticises work permits
Arsene Wenger has called on a restructuring of the current Premier League work permit regulations after revealing they prevented him from signing Angel di Maria as a teenager, reports Football411.
The Gunners are currently working on a deal for Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista, although the fact he is not an international footballer means they may end up missing out on the signing of the Villarreal centre-back.
And Wenger has revealed the same issue thwarted Arsenal's attempts to bring Argentina international Di Maria to north London when he was a 17-year-old, and the French tactician is hopeful a change in rules can soon be implemented.
Wenger said: "Ideally it would open completely and anyone can come in.
"We had identified Di Maria when he was 17. We saw him in an international competition and we wanted him to come here, but he went to Portugal and then to Spain. Why? Because he could not get a work permit for England.
"What does it mean if he comes into the country anyway, later on? It means you can only get him to England once he is worth a huge amount of money and who do you pay this huge amount of money to?
"It goes to a club like Real Madrid and they don't need the money. We have to be conscious of that."
There has, however, been a new rule proposed which would see any player who costs over £10m automatically granted permission to work in the UK.
