South African Pastor Makes Church Members Drink Fuel

Controversial South African Pastor Daniel Lesego of the Rabboni Centre who once made his church members eat grass is in the news again.

This time, he reportedly asked his congregants to drink petrol.



A video circulating online shows the man of God praying for a bottle which according to him contained petrol, to be turned to pineapple juice.

He then offered it to his congregants to drink. Some of them were exclaiming how ‘sweet’ and ‘nice’ it tastes, some said it tasted like the blood while some others begged for more.



The video shows the pastor demonstrating his “miraculous” power in front of the congregation,  with spectators shouting hallelujah.

Some of the followers are seen collapsing after drinking from the bottle of petrol turned into juice.

Dean, a fitness instructor, was an alcoholic and drug addict before finding Jesus following a drink-drive arrest. He said: “For me every day used to involve a case of beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels. After my fifth arrest for driving under the influence I begged God for help.  I should have been looking at ten years but the judge sentenced me to just ten months in prison – for me that was a sign. I turned my life around, began bodybuilding and now I try to live pure.

Synagogue Church Building Collapse: 45 Year Old Woman Walks out of Rubble Alive Death Toll At Synagogue Church Hits 59

Reports just coming in inform that the number of dead bodies so far recovered from the debris of the collapsed six-storey building at Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, in Ikotun area of Lagos, southwest Nigeria have hit 57.

According to a report published by P.M.NEWS on Tuesday, 16 September, 2014, rescue workers recovered eight dead bodies on Monday night while two more bodies were pulled out of the debris Tuesday morning, the fourth day since the collapse happened.

It was also gathered that a 45-year old woman was rescued alive from the site of the building that collapsed last Friday, 12 September, 2014.

According to reports, the woman was said to have walked out of the collapsed building Tuesday morning hale and hearty, after spending three days under the rubble.

Meanwhile, rescue teams at the scene of the building collapse include men of  the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Rapid Response Squad and Lagos State Fire Service.

While speaking with newsmen Tuesday morning, spokesperson of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye said: “The total number of death so far has risen to 57 while those rescued alive are now 131 as the rescue operation continues.

“A woman of about 45 years old walked out of the debris on her own around 2.00am today (Tuesday) and 10 more bodies  have been recovered.”

He added that more dead bodies were likely to be recovered, saying: “We are deploying the police sniffer dogs to assist in locating trapped victims as we are getting close to the area suspected to have more people trapped. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has ordered the  release of the dogs.”

Farinloye stated that the dogs would assist in the search-and-rescue and also in early conclusion of their operations.

A visit to the scene where the building collapse scene on Tuesday morning revealed rescue teams were busy breaking the rubble to bring out the corpses of the victims still trapped there.

It would be recalled that officials of the Lagos State Government have said the collapsed building was not approved.

Also on Sunday, NEMA officials stated that authorities at the Synagogue Church are not allowing to do their job.

According to a statement released by the emergency agency, some church members of the Synagogue attacked some of their workers which resulted into many of  the first responders to run away for their own safety.

Sudan anger at 'church-building ban'

The Sudan Council of Churches has criticised the authorities for banning the construction of new churches.

Over the weekend, a Sudanese government minister said there were already enough churches to provide for Christians.

The council's secretary-general told the BBC the announcement came after a church was demolished near the capital, Khartoum, this month by town planners.

Sudan is majority Muslim, but officially guarantees freedom of religion.

Following the secession of South Sudan in July 2011, many of Sudan's Christian inhabitants moved to the South.

Shalil Abdullah, a minister of Guidance and Endowments, was quoted as saying on Saturday that the remaining churches were enough for those Christians who stayed in Sudan.

But Rev Kori El Ramli, the secretary-general of the Sudan Council of Churches, said he was surprised by the move as church leaders had always had a good relationship with the authorities.

"We are growing, we need more churches," he told the BBC's Focus on Africa radio programme.

'Threatening stance'

Mr El Ramli said town planners were in the process of forcibly moving Christians from a shanty area of Omdurman city - and the church that was bulldozed had been in that suburb.

The new ruling would mean that area where the people were being relocated to - north of the city - would have no church, he said.

"We want the government to give us new plots so we can build a new church," the cleric said.

"We are citizens and the constitution says there is freedom of religion and worship so we are using this to get our rights."

The authorities had seemed recently to be taking a more threatening stance towards Christians, he added.

Even though Mrs Ibrahim was brought up as an Orthodox Christian, the authorities considered her to be a Muslim as she was born to a Muslim father.

Hmmmm!!! Synagogue Did Not Allow To Us Save Lives — NEMA

 The National Emergency management Agency, NEMA has revealed that the Synagogue of Nations Church stopped them from doing their job.

This was revealed by the spokesperson of the agency, Ibrahim Familoye who talked to PREMIUM TIMES on last night.

The agency, FEMA indicated that many where dead and about 20 others injured.

NEMA said:“The church members attacked us,”. “First responders ran away for their own safety. I don’t know what they’re hiding, they said they are capable of handling the situation but they doing a shoddy job of it. People are still trapped in the rubble.

“If we were allowed to work we would have worked all night but the safety of the emergency responders comes first. If they can attack us in the day, there is no knowing what they would do at night.”

According to TheNation, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Friday Adeboayo,  had revealed the number of dead to be around, adding that rescue operations to evacuate the injured persons would go on.

At the same time, Punch put the number of the deceased to 50.
