It's Me!

Jonathan met with the Queen of England. He asked her, "How do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips u can give to me? I want to help Nigeria." "Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people." Jonathan frowned, and then asked,"But how do i know the people around me are really intelligent?" The Queen replied, "Oh, that's easy, you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send David Cameron in here, would you?" David Cameron walked into the room and said,"Yes, your majesty?" The Queen smiled and said, "Answer this riddle. David, your mother and father have a child, it is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?" Without pausing for a minute David Cameron answered, "that would be me." "Yes, very good," said the Queen. Jonathan went back home to ask his Vice President Sambo. JONATHAN: Answer this. Your mother and your father have a child, it's not your brother and it's not your sister, who is it? SAMBO: "I'm not sure, let me get back to you." He asked all his staff in the Office but none could give him an answer. Finally, one day, VP Sambo ran into Dora Akunyili. Sambo asked, Dora, SAMBO: Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or sister, who is it?" Dora answered sharply, "That's easy, its me!" Sambo smiled, and said "Thanks!" Then he went back to speak with President Jonathan. Sambo: Sir, I have the answer to that riddle, It's Dora Akunyili! Jonathan got angry,he said to Sambo. "No wonder Nigeria isn't moving forward, I am surrounded by Dummies! The answer is David Cameron!" WHO IS MORE INTELLIGENT?

Job Application

Dear Sir, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT I refer to the recent death of the accountant at your office and hereby apply for the job as a replacement of the dead accountant. Each time I apply for employment, I get a reply that there is no vacancy but in this case, I have caught you red handed and you have no excuse because while I was in my hometown for holidays I heard the good news about his death so i quickly rushed back to attend the funeral to be sure that he was truly dead before applying. Attached to my letter is a copy of my CV and his obituary as proof of vacancy. You can't swerve me this time. Give me the job. Thank you, Yours Truly, Kweku Boateng

Two Thieves

A guy is woken one night by noises coming from his backyard. He gets up and looks through the window and spots two burglars helping themselves to his gardening equipment. The man immediately calls the police but is told there aren't any officers available. The policeman on duty promises to send someone as soon as possible. The man hangs up. A minute later he calls the police again. "Hello," he says "I called you a minute ago because there were thieves in my backyard. You no longer have to send anyone because I've shot them." Within five minutes, there are half a dozen police cars in the area, plus an helicopter and an armed response unit. The burglars are caught red-handed. The officer who took the call says to the guy, "But I thought you said you'd shot them." "Yes," the guy replies," and I thought you said there were no policeman available."

Prophet Iginla Who Predicted Ebola Outbreak Speaks Again

The General Overseer of Abuja-based Champion Royal Assembly Church, prophet Joshua Iginla, claimed in a recent interview that the world had not seen the worst Ebola yet.

anO6pj03ypXsQvBXTjtTQHHY Prophet Iginla Who Predicted Ebola Outbreak Speaks Again

It is believed that Iginla predicted the outbreak of the deadly tropical disease on December 31, 2013, saying that some virus would hit the world soon. Ebola epidemic started in West Africa in February and has killed more than 1,500 people since. With every single death the number of people isolated and new cases recorded increases dramatically and the World Health Organization (WHO) warns that the number of people infected might exceed 20,000. While the scientist from all over the world work days and night to develop the cure, there is currently no approved Ebola drug.

Related: Shocking New Details Emerge in Port Harcourt Ebola Case | Over 200 people are now in quarantine in PH

Speaking with Encomium, the clergyman, who is also CEO of Champions Television, pointed out the further devastating consequences of the Ebola outbreak and said what should be done:

“Even men of God are going to be victims of this. Prophetically, God showed me and I was afraid and I am sorry to say that. I remember when I predicted it in 2013, people went on social media to criticise me. There is a spiritual undertone to the issue. There is a link between the witchcraft coven and the marine world that lures people into hell and this is what I’m seeing. I am not mincing words. God revealed it to me which I have said that there would be something like a vaccine or hope that would come and it would be discovered by a group of scientists led by a white scientist with a bald head and this research will bring about 10 per cent hope. However, there is hope if spiritual leaders can complement the work of the scientists. As they are putting their heads together, we should also assemble to pray for the world. The way out is for us to adhere to measures put in place to prevent it and most important, turn to God.”

It is worth mentioning that the US National Institutes of Health Thursday announced the start of Ebola drug testing on humans in September. Alongside with testing they will start producing up to 10,000 doses of the vaccine to make it quickly available if it proves effective.

Meanwhile the developers of another anti-Ebola drug, ZMapp, have completed the testing on lab monkeys infected with the virus. According to the results, all the monkeys were successfully cured. The unapproved ZMapp has already been administered to several people worldwide, with some of them having recovered. Specifically it is believed to have saved the lives of 2 American health workers, who had contacted the disease in Liberia.

It would be recalled that Joshua Ingila predicted the knock-out of Brazil from the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the win of Germany in the tournament. This and several other accurate predictions have caused quite a stir in several quarters.

TB Joshua’s ‘Anointing Sticker’ Saved Me – Survivor Of Boko Haram Attack

A Police officer, Omereji Friday who escaped Boko Haram’s attack at a Nigerian Police training college in Gwoza, Borno State on  Wednesday, August 20 recounted how TB Joshua’s ‘Anointing Sticker’ miraculously saved him.

VM1FW4wSGzimfK74bxAzJfL6 TB Joshua’s ‘Anointing Sticker’ Saved Me – Survivor Of Boko Haram Attack

According to a Nigerian Journalist, Ihechukwu Njoku, the survivor, Omereji Friday, a Rivers State indigene who was present at the scene of the bloody onslaught, attributes his own survival to divine protection.

Speaking at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday 31stAugust 2014, the mobile police officer explained that he was stationed in Nasarawa State when informed that a training exercise was to be conducted in Gwoza, Borno State.

Friday, who spoke in pidgin English during his testimony, said his wife had warned him of the dangers caused by the sect but wasn’t really bothered saying: “We quarrelled in the house and she told me if I did not go to Synagogue Church first, there would be trouble,” he explained to the congregation.

Friday, said he reluctantly decided to do the wish of his wife as he visited T.B. Joshua’s renowned church in Lagos before his journey to Gwoza.

Arriving in Lagos late on Sunday 17th August 2014, church activities at The SCOAN were about to cease. “I met one young man from South Sudan and introduced myself as a Nigerian police officer.

“He gave me the ‘Anointing Sticker’ which he was with and I put it in my pocket,” he continued.

Friday said his wife insisted that keeps the ‘sticker’ which bore the message ‘Let love lead’ around his neck next to his ID card.

Arriving at the military camp in Gwoza on Monday heavily armed, two days of training exercises were conducted hitch-free. “On Wednesday, our ‘oga’ told us to go and drop our arms and ammunition at a certain place before the exercise.”

According to Omereji, the policemen saw a helicopter hovering over their area on an apparent surveillance mission later on that day. They reported to their seniors but were told not to be alarmed.

It was when the training exercise of that day was concluded and the policemen were back in their lodging that Boko Haram militants struck.

Friday narrating his horrific ordeal said: “Suddenly, they called us to grab our guns. If you see how rain used to fall, that was how the bullets were falling. The person next to me was hit by a bullet and died in my presence. I fell down and began crawling. Our dormitory caught fire. Five armoured tanks were approaching with sophisticated weapons.”

“I began to shout, ‘God of T.B. Joshua, where are you? Come and save me.’ ” Bullets were raining around him but surprisingly none hit.

“I crawled to the high wall of the camp. I saw an officer attempting to climb over hit by a bullet and die instantly.” The wall was higher than an ordinary jump could reach by human capacity. “As I prayed, I jumped and don’t know what pushed me up over the wall.”

“It was a warfront. I was the only person I know of who survived this Boko Haram attack,” he soberly concluded. “This Anointing Sticker is powerful!”

In his comments, T.B. Joshua reiterated his previous assertion that Boko Haram was the challenge of Nigeria and not Ebola.  He further warned that infiltration from foreign militants had already occurred within Boko Haram, hence their sophisticated weaponry.

Gwoza, Borno state has been under several attacks by the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

On August 20, it was reported that following Boko Haram’s attack on mobile police training school, Gwoza, that about 35 policemen were still missing.

It was reported, yesterday, that Boko Haram members now allegedly use captured police college as their training grounds and its instructors as teachers.

On August 24, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in video message released by the press announced Gwoza a celiphate with claims the sects are using the palace of the Emir of Gwoza as their headquarters.

Latest reports is that the Nigerian military are fighting to reclaim Gwoza, Borno state and 14 surrounding villages from the insurgents.  Althoght there is reportedly strong resistance from  the sect who allegedly blocked access roads to the town making the troops launch “fierce attacks”.

Rivers State Government Sends 3 People to Ebola Treatment Center

The Rivers Commissioner for Health, Sampson Parker, on Sunday in Port Harcourt said three persons have been moved to the state’s treatment centre for observation on the Ebola disease.

Parker told newsmen the patients are a doctor, a pharmacist and a woman who had contact with Dr Ike Enemuo, who died of Ebola on Aug. 22.

Enemuo was a Port Harcourt-based medical practitioner who treated an ECOWAS diplomat with the Ebola virus.

“We now have three patients at the treatment centre which is at Oduoha, Emohua local government area. The centre, which is about 25 kilometres east of Port Harcourt, has the capacity to treat patients.

“The three are a pharmacist at the Sam-Steel Hospital, a doctor who worked with the late Enemuo, and a lady who was at the Good Heart Hospital while Enemuo was there.

“However, they have not been confirmed to have the virus, and we are waiting for the result of investigation (Ebola test),’’ he said.

Parker said while the wife of Enemuo tested positive to Ebola, her condition was stable at a treatment centre in Lagos.

“Also, Enemuo’s three-month-old baby is alive and well,’’ he said.

The commissioner said government had traced 200 persons who had contact with the ECOWAS diplomat who was in Port Harcourt for Ebola treatment and Enemuo who treated him.

“Of this number, we are still to be in touch with about 60 of them. But 50 of them, who are high risk, have been identified. We are still on them and none has shown any symptoms.Ebola Rivers State Government Sends 3 People to Ebola Treatment Center

“We are concentrating on the names. We have to capture them in our activities. But the good news is that we have been making good progress in checking the spread of Ebola,’’ he said.

Parker said Ebola patients who came out early for treatment at the Lagos centre have survived and had been cleared.

“Only the ones who hid themselves, going from one church to the other until they deteriorated so much, passed on.

“We must let the public know that anyone, in one way or the other, who had  primary or secondary contact with Dr Enemuo or the clinics and the hotel, should voluntarily contact us.

“Their having had contact with those people doesn’t mean that they are infected. All we need is just to observe them, and if there is anything, they should let us know.

“But they have to know that the chances of survival are very high, because all the people who went to the Lagos centre early were treated and cleared,’’ he said.

Parker said the state government had decontaminated a number of places related to those who had come in contact with the Ebola victims.

“These are the clinic of late Dr Enemuo, another clinic where he was treated, the hotel used by Enemuo to treat the ECOWAS diplomat, the morgue at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and corpses at the morgue,’’ he said.

The commissioner also said the Ebola treatment centre at Oduoha had been decontaminated.

Finally Revealed: The Real cause of Dagrin’s Death! – You need to see this (Look)

  • Residents in Mushin in a new interview with SaharaReporters, blamed the fatal night-time crash on the Nigerian police in Alakara station.

  • According to them, Policemen at the Alakara Police Command in the Mushin area of Lagos State are notorious for illegal raiding, bribery, and even escapades of what some call ‘murder at night’.

dagrin

“I was there that night, and we did not even know at first that it was anyone (famous) like that. We were only helping to remove his body and to rescue him,” a young witness told the website.

“What actually happened that night was that the policemen had stopped the cement truck at the middle of road, and of course, they could only be asking for a bribe.

“Unfortunately, the truck had no rear light, (of any kind,) and so the oncoming car was unaware of any vehicle ahead. It just rammed head on, into it from the back.

“It rammed into the truck hard without holding the brakes at all, and that is because the truck in its front, had no light to show anything was there.

“So after we removed the body, we realized it was Da Grin, and he was groaning. They asked the truck driver to move forward and park out off of the road. They then moved Da Grin’s car afterwards so it would then look like he went to hit the truck where it parked.

“We were not thinking about all these as an attempt to change the story. We were only concerned about helping the victim of an accident, and by when they finished their artificial story, the world was only waiting for Da Grin’s recovery. But news broke later that he had died at the hospital.

“What made their story work was that the car did not hold its breaks, so there was no sign of screeching on the ground. Otherwise, the marks of friction from the tyres would be in the spot where it was removed, before parking it, and rearranging the scene.

“They did everything very fast, and by morning, they were no longer the cause of the accident.) Just like on Tuesday night, that they scared everyone away, and washed the blood stains of their victim within a brief period,” the young man continued.

“Of course, they caused the accident that killed Da Grin. And that is how they commit so much atrocities here in Mushin that the public will not know about, or what the truth is.

“We live here and we see them live, every time.”

The Alakara policemen are described as very apt, and swift, in immediately ‘cleaning up’ their dirty business, leaving behind little, to no evidence, of their atrocities….. MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE …. PLEASE COMMENT AMEN

5 Die in Cross River After Eating Poisoned Dog

A man, his two children, and two others died in Odareko-Uchenyim village in Cross River State on Friday after eating the cooked flesh of a dog that had been poisoned.

The dog had reportedly been a nuisance to villagers, as it frequently ate the eggs laid by a native chicken in the village, according to Vanguard.

One of the villagers decided to get rid of the dog by poisoning it. The individual is said to have laced the eggs laid by the chicken with Gamalin 20 insecticide. When the dog ate the eggs, it fell ill, and when it was almost dead, its owner killed and cooked it as a delicacy.

His family and neighbours ate the dog meat, including the intestines. They subsequently fell ill and were rushed to a nearby health center, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Claudio Vieira de Oliveira, 37, was born with his neck folded back on itself, as well as badly deformed legs and almost no use of his arms and hands. Doctors told his mother to stop feeding him as a newborn as they believed he had no chance of survival. But Claudio from Monte Santo, Brazil, has overcome his extreme disadvantages to graduate as an accountant and become a public speaker. Continue…

“Since I was a child I’ve always liked to keep myself busy and work – I don’t like to depend totally on other people. I do a bit of accounting, research for clients and consulting. I have learned to turn on the TV, pick up my cell phone, turn on the radio, use the internet, my computer – I do it all by myself.” he said.

Claudio types with a pen held in his mouth, operates phones and a computer mouse with his lips and has specially made shoes that allow him to move around town. His determined independence saw him succeeding at school and qualifying as an accountant from the State University of Feira de Santana.

When Claudio was born, doctors told his mother Maria Jose he would not be able to survive. Maria Jose said:

“People started saying ‘the baby is going to die’ because he could barely breathe when he was born. Some people would say: ‘Don’t feed him, he is already dying’. But there’s only happiness now. Claudio is just like any other person – that’s how he was raised in this house. We never tried to fix him and always wanted him to do the normal things everyone else does. That’s why he is so confident. He is not ashamed of walking around in the street – he sings and he dances.”1409565994065_wps_3_EXCLUSIVE_CONDITION_OF_US

At eight years old, Claudio, who had previously been carried everywhere, began to walk on his knees.

His family had to change the floor of the house so he could walk around without injuring himself.
Claudio’s bed, plugs and lights had to be made lower so that he could do things for himself without asking for help.

He cannot use a wheelchair because of his unusual shape, making it hard for him to be independent outside the home – but he begged his mother to be allowed to go to school and learn with the other children. Doctors have recently diagnosed him with a rare condition called congenital arthrogryposis.

‘I had a huge crush on Genevieve, I never dated Rita Dominic’ – Banky W

In an interview on YNaija’s RubbinMinds programme this afternoon, Banky W opened up about his relationship status, people he’s had crushes on and girls he’s never dated. See all that after the cut…

banky-gene 00-3 0-1

Banky admitted that he had a huge on Genevieve and tried to pursue her but it didn’t work out,

“I tried but Genevieve is Genevieve. I had a big crush on her at one point but now we are really cool friends” he said

Banky also revealed he had a huge crush on singer Niyola when he first came back to Nigeria to pursue his music career but didn’t go after her because she was in an on/off relationship and when she became single, he’d already signed her to his record label and had assumed a big brother role in her life. The crush died he said.

Asked if he is under any pressure to get married, Banky W said;

“I think that there is a certain pressure that society brings and probably even more so the Nigerian society. So like your parents, once you graduate they start asking when you are going to get married so you can get me grand children…so its just the mentality but I think its probably an unhealthy obsession with weddings and probably not as great an obsession with healthy marriages and for me its like who you get married to or when you get married is one of the major decisions that you can make. So its wiser that you do it when you are sure that you are ready and you have found the person that you want to do it with and so on and so forth rather than succumb to whatever pressure or whatever it is because nobody is going to live that life with you. Nobody is going to wake up with the person for the rest of your life. So I dont believe in that and I think my parents know me well enough to not….they know I don’t respond to such things. So do I look forward to getting married? Absolutely but when the person and the time is right. I have friend who I went to school with who got married and are now divorced and I don’t want that to be my story so I would rather wait, find the person, make myself right, make the person right and so on and so forth and do it right one time rather than try and fail and be married for 72 days” he said

Banky W revealed that he will be taking 2 and a half months off the music scene to pursue a course in directing/film-making in New York in September.

The trio’s arrest way made possible by an insider who revealed to the bank’s management that some fraudsters were planning to gain access to its network, using a device called Keelog Key Grabber. Investigations showed that, a staff of the bank, Owolabi Agboola was contacted by one of the suspected fraudsters, who proposed a business arrangement to him on how to hack into the system of the bank. Agboola subsequently informed management of the bank and he was instructed to play along with the fraudster.

00-4
In the arrangement, an electronic device called keelog Key Grabber would be used to harvest passwords of some of the key operation staff of the bank. The grabber was meant to be plugged into the computer system of the Head of Operation of a particular branch, to retrieve information technology configuration settings from the computer system and pave the way for the fraudsters to move customers’ funds out of the bank. Lawal was arrested while trying to hand over the Keelog Key Grabber to Agboola.

His arrest led to the arrest of two other suspects: Olumide Kayode Maborukoje and Abass Ajibade. Items recovered from them include: a keylogger, a laptop, a router, a modem, sim cards, USB keyhole log with a template of keylogger and a jotter containing some account numbers which they intended to use for the fraud. The suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

CHURCH GAMES: Chris Oyakhilome’s Brother, Rev. Ken, Also Accused Of Adultery

The tension surrounding the reported divorce of pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife Rev. Anita intensifies as pastor’s younger brother, also a clergyman, is accused of fornication and adultery.

The news about the marriage end of the founder of the Christ Embassy Church broke out last week as Rev. Anita had allegedly filed the divorce documents to the London court stating “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviour” as reasons for her decision.

hB4TLnkP5W16MQkiPYuA4Mw0

The move caused split among the church members, who took to social media to express their support either to the one or the other side of the conflict. Some people were sympathetic to the wife, the others said that all humans make mistakes. Some even refused to believe the newÑ‹ saying that everything was fine with their marriage.

Amid the hot discussions of the issue Nigerian Times has exclusively reported that Oyakhilome’s brother Rev. Ken, also the founder of the church, allegedly impregnated a South African lady  a member of the Church in Randburg, Guateng, which is the headquarters of Christ Embassy, South Africa.

QGIzaPyZkeonGjvSxDoJTmHt

The famous cleric’s brother used to act as the regional pastor of Christ Embassy in charge of South Africa and was later transferred to the branch in the USA. Rev. Ken is believed to have romanced with the church member, which was an “open secret” among the parishioners. When the news about the woman’s pregnancy started making rounds, church officials reportedly fudged the issue to prevent scandal. Moreover, the child was aborted with the knowledge of church leaders, report says.

It was at the time when Rev. Ken lived and served in South Africa, while his wife Pastor Ose managed the Okota, Lagos branch of the church. The two still live apart as now Oyakhilome runs the church in Texas.

Outraged church members took to Facebook to comment on the situation and confirm the shocking disclosures:

From Sister Lebogang Radibela:

“It’s true, here in Johannesburg a pastor impregnated a young lady and forced her to do abortion, later on the lady was promoted to being a pastor, till today she is still a pastor, working together with the wife to the pastor who impregnated her. Members act like this is normal; I mean where we draw a line.”

From Jacob Nnoli:

@Sister Lebogang Radibela, “it’s not just a pastor. it’s our darling older brother Rev Ken himself that activated the pregnancy button but it’s shocking to know that our regional pastor, Pastor Ose Oyakhilome, a mother herself supported the abortion and by (following the principle of the ) 48 laws of power, she’s keeping her close. That sounds like what an ‘area mother’ would do and to top it up, the grandfather himself Rev Chris ordained the sister a pastor and probably help seared the damaged conscience with some rands/dollars. How many more in Nigeria region? Time will fail us to speak of Asaba, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Benin and many too numerous to mention. I had to listen to that Youtube message again this morning and I can now understand when Pastor Chris said Pastor Anita should have moved with those who will help her as the wife of global pastor. Is this what she should learn, to help Pastor Yemisi and other indicted ladies? Actually Pastor, you forgot to announce the firing of Pastor Pat, the CSO as a result of leaked White House (Pastor Chris’ residence in Lagos) information and the hiring of a brother-in-law Deacon Kingsley Osazuwa. Our darling Rev Ken, it looks like Durex, Trojan, and Gold circle condoms etc have all finished in the market because of ….May God have mercy but we need to obtain the mercy.”

It would be recalled that rumours about Chris Oyakhilome’s and Rev. Anita’s break-up first surfaced in May as some members started inquiring in social media where Rev. Anita wasexpressing their worries over her long-term absence.  However soon the church officials denied the reports about the divorce of the famous couple blessed with 2 children.

As for the current information, the church is yet to drop an official comment.

Divorce Drama: Anita Oyakhilome’s Name Removed From Christ Embassy Church Website

unnamed

The divorce mess between Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has worsened, P.M News reports.

On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.

Many describe the action as the beginning of a process to shut her out of the church, after she accused her husband of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviours” in a divorce suit filed in London last April but only made public on Friday. Continue…

Anita_oyakhilome

Christ Embassy’s new website now shows only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, with a broad smile welcoming his followers to the month of August, and tagging it, ‘Month of Praise’.

In the message on the website, Oyakhilome also urges his followers to “rejoice for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Also, on the website of the Rhapsody of Realities, a daily devotional co-authored by the esrtwhile couple, there’s nothing to show that Anita is still recognised as the only visible face on the website among the family members is that of her husband.

It was too early to know if the September edition of the Rhapsody of Realities still has the photographs of both the pastor and his wife as it used to be.

In the past, when the going was good, Anita and Chris Oyakhilome held hands on the church website and smiled broadly. They projected the image of a perfect couple.

But P.M.NEWS checks at the weekend revealed that there is confusion in the church following the divorce suit filed by Anita to end her over two decades marriage to the founder of Christ Embassy Church.

In the past, Pastor Chris headed the Nigerian branch of the church, though he travelled to other branches occasionally, while Anita headed the branch in London and its environs.

Christ Embassy and its founder have been embroiled in a myriad of controversies in the past. In 2010, Oyakhilome was accused of engineering a money laundering scheme in Nigeria, and questions swirled around his finances because of his glamorous lifestyle.

Many pastors and theologians also excoriated Oyakhilome for his “New Creation” doctrine—a form of gnosticism that says after a person becomes a Christian, any sin they commit is only in the body and will not affect the spirit.

In 2008, Oyakhilome’s reputation as a faith healer was tarnished badly in Johannesburg, South Africa, when a man told a Soweto newspaper that Christ Embassy offered him more than $1,200 to sit in a wheelchair and pretend to be crippled until Oyakhilome prayed for him.

“The man went to the media instead of taking the money, sparking concerns that healings were being faked to impress growing crowds,” said Lee Grady in an article in 2012 published by Charisma Magazine.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has also been a target of criticism by the Treatment Action Campaign for his support of faith healing to cure HIV.

Allegations that Christ Embassy members are reportedly being forced to give huge sums of money in offerings with the biggest donors receiving the biggest awards have left many people concerned.

Many Nigerians have also alleged that the church operates like a cult and pressures members to marry only within Christ Embassy.

Many people also remember the scandal involving Christ Embassy and Sheraton Hotel some years ago when a member of the church, who worked at the Sheraton Hotel, stole money from his employers and gave it to Christ Embassy. But when Sheraton approached the church for reimbursement, the church allegedly claimed that the money had been given to God and could not be refunded.

Many also excoriated Pastor Chris some years ago when the church began collecting gate fees from members for their New Year Eve’s Service.

More recently, Oyakhilome came under attack after he claimed that Christians were free to masturbate because it was not a sin.

But the latest scandal involving Anita and Chris, who have two daughters, seems to threaten the very existence of one of the biggest churches in Nigeria.

Christ Embassy runs several arms including the Healing School, Rhapsody of Realities, and an N.G.O called the Innercity Missions as well as three Christian television channels: LoveWorld TV, LoveWorld SAT and LoveWorld Plus.

The church is scattered all over the world, including in the United Kingdom, the United States, South America and the whole of Europe.

Stories about women bringing men of God down are not new. In 1988, Jimmy Swaggart, a famous American preacher was implicated in a sex scandal involving a prostitute that resulted initially in his suspension, and ultimately defrocking, by the Assemblies of God.

Three years later, Swaggart was implicated in another scandal involving a prostitute. As a result, Swaggart’s ministry became non-affiliated, non-denominational and significantly smaller than it was before the scandals.
