Ex-GF on how Oscar Pistorius terrorised her: ‘I hid gun because I feared he’d kill me’

Oscar Pistorius’s former girlfriend has spoken of her terrifying relationship with the ‘angry and possessive’ Paralympian. 20 year old Samantha Taylor (pictured below) said she feared he would kill her and revealed she once hid his gun after he flew into a rage at her.

Oscar was cleared of killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp yesterday, but Samantha said: “It could have been me.”

3-12

Samantha said she was left with bruises and scars after the Blade Runner bit and pinched her, but she was also tortured mentally by him during the 18-month relationship.

She said:
“Oscar used to lock me in his house and then go out. I had no food, I couldn’t get out. It was dangerous. He often went out saying he will just be an hour or so and ended up out all day or night. I wouldn’t hear from him all night and his phone would be off. He would say he’s going out for an hour and the next day, three in the morning, he would drive home.”

44

She also described how he once left her paralysed with fear when he used his beloved Porsche as a weapon, driving her at up to 200mph to “punish” her.

Pistorius shot Reeva, 29, on Valentine’s Day 2013. And since that moment, Samantha has had nightmares.

64

Shuddering, she said:
“What happened to Reeva Steenkamp could so easily have happened to me. I definitely think that could have been me – without a doubt – many, many, many times.”

Samantha first met Pistorius in 2010 when she was 16 and he was 23 at a rugby match, but they did not start dating for another year.

Speaking of one ordeal, she said:
“He gets so mad, so angry he can’t even speak. He was trying to string his words together, spitting, shouting, grabbing. It was horrible. He used to bite me a lot, pinch me in anger and in fun. I had bruises and scars. It was painful.”

Another time the couple rowed when he accused her of sticking up for one of her ex-boyfriends.
She said:
“I was really scared. He made me stand on the stairs and shouted at me. It was like I was on the naughty step.”

But one night, things got so bad she thought he was going to shoot her at his home in Pretoria, South Africa, with the gun he would later turn on Reeva.
Samantha said:
“I had to hide his gun, I was so scared of him. We had friends over for dinner, at his house and we’d all had a little to drink but I think he was going for one that night.

“He was on the hard liquor. He moved all the couches and set the floor on fire and danced around it. It was a marble floor and he used alcohol to light it on fire. He slipped and he chipped his tooth.

“But because he was so drunk he thought I’d beaten him up. He started screaming at me. He was looking for his gun. He was saying I was a bitch because I beat him up. ‘What kind of person are you? You bitch.’ I felt threatened. Both of us went upstairs to bed and I was walking a bit in front of him.”

“When I got to the room I hid his gun, because I really did think he’d use it. I hid it under the bed knowing he wouldn’t look there. He kept that gun, the one used on Reeva, on his table or by his prosthetic legs on the floor.
“He slept on the right near the windows and he never kept that gun under the bed, like he claimed in his statement.

“He kept telling me I was a bitch because his lip was cut, but I think he realised things had gone too far.” The next day the couple went to a wedding.

She said: “We rushed and he didn’t realise he had left his gun at home and he said to me ‘Oh my word, where’s my gun?’ I told him why I had hidden it.

“He didn’t apologise but didn’t want to acknowledge what had happened.”

73

Pistorius would vanish for nights of boozing, partying and chatting up impressionable women.
But when the couple were apart for longer periods, like when Oscar had athletics events abroad, his jealousy erupted.

Samantha said:
“His jealousy was very tough. He’d phone my mum and dad 10 times a day to find out where I was. In one month I received around 700 calls. It was excessive. If I hadn’t replied to messages within 30 seconds I was doing something wrong.”

86

Miming taking a selfie, she explained:
“I had to show him photos ‘look at me in my pyjamas – I’m not out! Look I’m watching TV, sitting with my brother.’ He’s a very insecure man. He’d call at all hours. I was scared of him at times because he had very bad anger issues. He was so possessive, he would look through my phone and find a photo from long ago or look on my Facebook, and often get quite angry.

“It was horrible, when you are in a relationship you want someone to trust you. He never allowed me to wear make-up and would make me take my belly ring out.

“If we were going out he would just give me a few minutes so I would not have time to get ready. He didn’t like me dressing up and other men looking at me.”

Samantha said everywhere Pistorius went his gun went with him – tucked in his “pants”. She also struggled to keep up with his rapidly changing personality – switching from sweet and charming to sobbing and suicidal.

94

She said:
“He would arrive at my house at 5am drunk and wake everyone up. He had a temper. Everyone has a switch inside of them, but when his went off he couldn’t control it. You just have to be calm with him. Not react to it.

“He shouted at me for random stuff, like if his coffee wasn’t made. He would get angry about weird things that shouldn’t really get to someone. He screamed and shouted at me a lot. He’s got quite a foul mouth.”

The man in the picture really looked like Hulk Hogan. He was reportedly spotted in Lagos, treated like a real star. He even had a full police escort. But the truth was discovered when it turned out that the real Hulk Hogan was in Montreal, Canada, during those days. The WWE star also denied that he was in Nigeria at that time

This is not the first time fake rumors have been swirling the wrestler. He was once reported to be dead, but he had to come out to refute this rumor.2pN9ia4iPUloldiewXje1O9V

Cultists Kill And Roast 9-Yr-Old In Niger State, Say His Flesh Was Tasty

Niger State police have arrested suspected cultists who specialize in eating roasted human’s flesh.

The cult members were detained on August 21 in Kuso village, Lavun LGA, Nigerian Tribune reports. The group included an elderly woman identified as Fatima.

One Mohammed handed over his son Umar to his mother (Umar’s grandmother) Fatima to look after the boy pending father’s arrival from the journey within the state.

Meanwhile, the main suspect Fatima allegedly handed over the boy to another suspect named Tetengi with the prospective to kill the 9-year-old and eat his flesh in the group of 3. Tetengi slaughtered Umar and roasted his body then shared it with Fatima and the Aminatu, the third cultist.

The father came back from trip and did not find his child at his mother’s house. Fatima told him that his boy had disappeared shortly after Mohammed left adding that she had not seen him since.

Following the incident, Mohammed invited an Islamic scholar to shed the light on strange disappearance, a police source said, adding that the prayer allowed it to be revealed that Fatima was lying.

According to Crime & Security, the case was immediately reported to the police by the family, following which the operatives started investigation.

As soon as the suspected cultists were arrested, all 3 confessed to the crime, with one of them saying that human’s flesh was tastier than that of an animal.

All the suspects are soon to face charges.

The Untold Story Of Ebola Virus

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa has been described by the World Health Organisation, WHO, and historians to have the potential to cause havoc as much as any plague has ever done in the history of mankind.

According to the WHO, the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, ravaging the West Africa have recorded more than 4,300 cases and 2,300 deaths over the past six months.

Only last week, the United Nations agency warned that, by early October, there may be thousands of new cases per week in , Sierra Leone, Guinea and bziala51cT2Zuoncl0o1rI2I

Osterholm claimed the world is in totally uncharted waters and that Mother Nature is the only force in charge of the Ebola virus disease.

Below are full texts of the opinion:

The Ebola epidemic in West Africa has the potential to alter history as much as any plague has ever done.

There have been more than 4,300 cases and 2,300 deaths over the past six months. Last week, the World Health Organization warned that, by early October, there may be thousands of new cases per week in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Nigeria. What is not getting said publicly, despite briefings and discussions in the inner circles of the world’s public health agencies, is that we are in totally uncharted waters and that Mother Nature is the only force in charge of the crisis at this time.

There are two possible future chapters to this story that should keep us up at night.

The first possibility is that the Ebola virus spreads from West Africa to megacities in other regions of the developing world.

This outbreak is very different from the 19 that have occurred in Africa over the past 40 years. It is much easier to control Ebola infections in isolated villages.

But there has been a 300 percent increase in Africa’s population over the last four decades, much of it in large city slums.

What happens when an infected person yet to become ill travels by plane to Lagos, Nairobi, Kinshasa or Mogadishu — or even Karachi, Jakarta, Mexico City or Dhaka?

The second possibility is one that virologists are loath to discuss openly but are definitely considering in private: that an Ebola virus could mutate to become transmissible through the air.

However, on Thursday, 11 September, 2014, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, USA, Michael T. Osterholm, in an opinion piece he wrote for the New York Times, revealed that there are things about the Ebola virus that are not getting said publicly despite briefings and discussions in the inner circles of the world’s public health agencies.

Sturridge Out For Up To Six Matches – Rodgers

sturridgeLiverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss up to six matches after injuring himself while on international duty with England, manager Brendan Rodgers revealed.

Sturridge, 25, strained his thigh in a training session last Friday, forcing him to miss England’s 2-0 win over Switzerland in their opening UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier on Monday.

Rodgers told a press conference on Thursday that Sturridge would be out for “up to three weeks”.

He therefore stands to miss three Premier League
games

, including the derby against Everton on 27 September, a League Cup tie against Middlesbrough, and Liverpool’s first two UEFA Champions League group games.

Sturridge sustained the injury 36 hours after playing for 89 minutes in England’s 1-0 friendly win over Norway and Rodgers believes the player should have been given more time to recover.

“We’re obviously disappointed because we feel it was an injury which could have been prevented,” the Liverpool manager told talkSPORT radio station earlier on Thursday.

“I think clubs work differently at times to international teams. It’s more the recovery strategy.

When we look at our players here, we look at them individually in terms of what their needs are.

“Fast players would have a second day recovery, while other players can work on that day.

When you are that type of quick player like Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and boys like Danny Welbeck, you need to recover them.

He (Sturridge) has worked so hard over pre-season and looked very fit and strong in our last game against Tottenham.”

In Sturridge’s absence, new signing Mario Balotelli is expected to make his home debut in Saturday’s home game with Aston Villa.

Rodgers also revealed that another new signing, midfielder Emre Can, will be sidelined for up to six weeks due to an ankle problem picked up on international duty with Germany U-21s.

Mbu Wanted To Ruin Our State - Amaechi

Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi had yesterday revealed that the Rivers state former Police Commissioner, Mr Joseph Mbu was just a politician parading himself in police clothes and attempted to destroy the Rivers state economy.

[caption id="attachment_1318" align="aligncenter" width="412"]Mbu and Amaechi Mbu and Amaechi[/caption]

Amaechi was speaking during a courtesy visit from the newly installed Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dan Bature along with the outgoing Commissioner of Police and newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Tunde Ogunshakin and other top Police officers.

He said Mbu refused to do his job of protecting lives and started becoming Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s watchdog.

He the went on to praise the work of Ogunshakin saying: “Unlike Mr Mbu, who clearly showed us that he was a registered member of PDP, in your own case (Ogunshakin), you know that we had disagreement, but you realised your responsibility to ensure the security of lives and property as the paramount responsibility of the Nigerian Police. It was important you kept the peace.

And I thank you for that peace. I am also sure, Rivers people are happy about that. And the way Mr. Mbu was going, Rivers economy would have collapsed completely. Fortunately for us, they took him away and brought you (Ogunshakin) and you restored calm.

You tried to create a platform for all parties to have access to you. And as you go, please, go with that same spirit. The Police in Rivers State should discharge their responsibility as it concerns the protection of lives and property.

He then went on to welcome in the new commissioner of Police and then renewed the oath he took in 2007.

He said:  I will repeat what I said, when I was sworn in as governor in 2007. I said, if the Federal Government refuses to provide legitimate source of livelihood for Nigerians in our state, Nigerians will provide for themselves illegitimate source of livelihood.

And that include kidnapping, robbery, stealing by people who will hire or provide police or military uniforms. And that illegitimate source of livelihood becomes its own economy which automatically frightens the legitimate economy.”

Rivers state Governor before defecting to the APC had been involved in a power struggle with President Goodluck Jonathan.

Situation seemed to have escalated when Mrs Patience Jonathan, who hails from Rivers state was helped by the then Commissioner of police Mbu to frustrate governor Amaechi.

Unbelievable!!! Anambra State University Gets New Name! Now Named After Ojukwu (See New Name)

The Anambra House of Assembly on Thursday passed a bill, changing the name of the state-owned university at Uli to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University1355

The bill was passed during the plenary of the legislature in Awka to honour the former Biafra hero.

The decision followed the report of the House Committee on Education which recommended the change of the name.

Mrs Rita Maduagwu (APGA Nnewi South 2), the Chairman, House Committee on Education, recalled that the bill had been read the second time on the floor of the house on Dec. 17, 2013.

She said that the committee found that the university’s name had been changed before from Anambra State University of Science and Technology and that there were a number of provisions in the extant law that required review.

“After due consideration of facts and information, the committee recommends that the law establishing the university be repealed while a new law aimed at amending the principal law be passed,”
Maduagwu said.

Mr Valentine Ayika (PDP Njikoka1) said that the bill was due for passage since it was read second time in December 2013.

Mr Tony Muonagor (APC Idemili North) said that the aim was to immortalise the late Ojukwu and to encourage hard work among the people of the state and Nigeria at large.

Mr Ebele Obi (APC Idemili South) said that the passage was a welcome development.

Mr Obinna Emenakaya (APGA Anambra East) said that the application for the change of name was long over-due since it was meant to immortalise a man who fought and lived for the Igbo people.

The Speaker, Mrs Chinwe Nwaebili, said that the university would be a multi-campus institution located in Awka, Igbariam and Uli.

She said members of the committee on education did a good work and urged others to prove their worth on any assignment given at committee level or otherwise (NAN)

Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that 52.29 percent of the candidates that sat for June/July 2014 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) passed at credit level in five subjects, including English Language and mathematics.

The Registrar and Chief Executive officer of the Council, Professor Promise Okpala, who announced the result in Minna, said 74.30 percent of the candidates made five credits and above generally.

He said that 978,886 candidates of the 989,622 that registered sat for the examination, which was conducted in 76 subjects.
Of 989,622 candidates that wrote the examination, 72.58 percent scored credit level and above in English Language, while 69.49 percent made similar grades in mathematics.

In sciences, 72.86 percent of candidates that sat for Chemistry had credits, while 69.38 percent of physics candidates had credit levels and in biology 67.83 percent of the candidates made credit grades.

Okpala said that beyond the cost of running the examination, insecurity in many parts of the country grossly affected the logistic operations of the council during the school based examination.

The registrar also said that efforts of the council at reducing examination malpractices paid off as only 0.44 percent of those who sat for the examination were involved in malpractices.
