African-American Actress Claims She Was Detained for bad deeds for Kis*ing Her White Boyfriend in Public

A rising actress Daniele Watts, who played a maid in Quentin Tarantino’s 2012 hit movie Django Unchained, claims that she was mistaken for a prostitute for kissing her partner who is white in public.

She was also detained by the Los Angeles Police Department.



In an emotional Facebook post, she said on Thursday she was stopped for no good reason.

Here is what Daniele said;

“Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.

When the officer arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk by a tree. I was talking to my father on my cell phone. I knew that I had done nothing wrong, that I wasn’t harming anyone, so I walked away.

A few minutes later, I was still talking to my dad when 2 different police officers accosted me and forced me into handcuffs.

As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong. I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that “authority figures” could control my BEING… my ability to BE!!!!!!!

I was sitting in that back of this cop car, filled with adrenaline, my wrist bleeding in pain, and it occurred to me, that even there, I STILL HAD POWER OVER MY OWN SPIRIT.

Those cops could not stop me from expressing myself. They could not stop the cathartic tears and rage from flowing out of me. They could not force me to feel bad about myself. Yes, they had control over my physical body, but not my emotions. My feelings. My spirit was, and still is FREE.

I will continue to look any “authority figure” in the eye without fear. NO POLICE OFFICER OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ME. WE ARE EQUALS. I KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE FREE BECAUSE THAT IS THE NATURE OF MY SPIRIT.

And moreover, I deeply enjoyed connecting with the cops who detained me. I allowed myself to be honest about my anger, frustration, and rage as tears flowed from my eyes. The tears I cry for a country that calls itself “the land of the free and the home of the brave” and yet detains people for claiming that very right.

Today I exist with courage, knowing that I am blessed to have experienced what I did today. All of those feelings, no matter how uncomfortable. These feelings are what builds my internal strength, my ability to grow through WHATEVER may happen to me.

That internal knowing is what guides me in this world. Not the law, not fear, not mistrust of government or cops or anything else.

In this moment there is a still small voice whispering to me. It says: You are love. You are free. You are pure.”

Her boyfriend Brian James Lucas is also speaking out. He also took to Facebook to share his thoughts.
“I could tell that whoever called on us (including the officers), saw a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a HO (prostitute) & a TRICK (client). This is something that happened to her and her father when she was 16. What an assumption to make!!!”

A 29-second video has also hit the web. Daniele can be heard saying, “You pushed me against the wall. I put my hands behind my back and I just stood there.”

“When they were talking on the phone, Emma asked him about Fanny. He told her they’d split up and that he didn’t have any female friends in Liverpool.”

Evangelist Shoots and Kills His own Father in Enugu, Buries the Corpes

A self acclaimed evangelist, Chukwukezi Afonogu (pictured below), has been arrested by men of the Enugu state Police command for shooting his 65 year old father, George Afonogu, dead.

According to Sunday Sun, Enugu state Police Commissioner, Mr Mohammed Adamu, said 33 year old Chukwukezi attacked and killed his father on August 25th during arguement. The suspect said he became very angry after his father called him a mad man.

During interrogation, Chukwukezi, who is the only son of his late father said;

“I am an evangelist and a member of the Evergreen Believers Bible Ministry. Before this thing happened, I was having several quarrel with my late father. My father called me on that fateful day and asked me about an electrician that was supposed to work in the house and he gave me N500. My late father was a difficult person. The incident happened around3.00pm. My father called me a “mad boy” and a quarrel ensued. I went inside the room and took my hunter’s gun and shot him. I quickly carried him to a nearby bush and buried his corpse because nobody was at home. Immediately, I buried him, I ran away. My late father had eight children. The first born died and we have six girls and I am the only son” he said

Chukwukezi was apprehended by youths in the community who first beat him to a pulp before handing him over to the Oji River police officers. His mother is said to have run away from the community after she learnt of what her son had done. He is expected to be charged to court soon.

Video of Synagogue Building collapsing and ‘Strange Airplane’ Allegedly Behind it

They shared an eerie video purportedly showing a plane flying over the building before it collapsed. Read Njoku’s report below and watch the video.

On Sunday 14^th April 2014, Prophet T.B. Joshua played to his congregation and Emmanuel TV viewers worldwide shocking footage captured by security cameras of the horrific moment a guest-house collapsed within the church premises.

Joshua, speaking to a packed auditorium of worshippers seemingly undeterred by the tragic incident that transpired days earlier, began by thanking officials involved in the extensive rescue operation, as well as supporters worldwide for their prayers.” Continue..

He then recounted the events that preceded the building collapse at exactly 12:44pm on Friday afternoon. “I know this is not the right time to talk,” the cleric started. “I will just say a little because I don’t want to interfere with the job of security personnel.”

Joshua narrated how on Friday morning at approximately 8am, he left the ‘prayer mountain’  where he ‘lives’ to return to the church, only to be alerted by phone that “there was a jet hovering, moving around at very close range at the mountain which I had just left.”

Shortly afterwards, he was informed the plane in question was flying dangerously low over a particular building within the church premises. “We are going to show you the video,” he then announced.

Church members reacted with gasps of shock and disbelief as a video containing security footage of the ‘strange airplane’ and its multiple flights was shown, followed by the building collapse in less than three seconds of horror.

Joshua went on to state that after thirty years residing in Ikotun, Lagos, he had never witnessed an incident of this nature. “This is to tell you we have a stable terrain in this area. I have been in this community for the past 30 years and no building has collapsed,” he insisted.  

He went on to assure congregants that no effort was being spared in rescuing the victims of the tragedy. “As a minister of the Gospel, our first priority is life – life saving,” he stated.“There is no compromise in what we do at all. I am going to leave this for you to judge.”

He then released a warning that another similar incident would occur within the country if proper precautions were not observed. “Let us believe, educate our people and be alert. Why? So that our country will not witness a similar incident in another place.”

Seeming to speak the minds of congregants, Joshua went on, “I know you will ask me – why Synagogue? Don’t forget the spiritual blessing that God has bestowed on us? A big head wears a large hat.”

He proceeded to decry the attitude people had exhibited towards a much-publicised confession of an alleged Boko Haram member in The SCOAN in March 2014. “No matter how long a lie is sustained, truth will someday prevail,” the cleric admonished. “We should remember the militant that came with his group to this church with a bomb. Upon televising it, they said it was a lie – but later discovered it to be true. The case is still with the security.”

He added that the multiple rumours peddled about Ebola victims dying at The SCOAN and the alleged ‘salt-water’ cure ascribed to him that went viral were all attacks against the church. “They were trying to scare you from coming to this church. Don’t be scared – you are not the target, I am the target.”

Joshua stated however that his ‘job’ on earth was still unfinished. “I knew my hour had not yet come. I have not yet finished my job.”

He reminded congregants of a message he had given several weeks earlier that the last few months of 2014, which he had already termed ‘The Year Of Crossing The Bridge’, would contain tragic and calamitous events as if ‘it were 10 years’. He declared that in the midst of the unfortunate incident, “God is on top of the matter”.

Joshua then stated that Divine judgement would befall the perpetrators of the attack. “I want to assure you that our God will get back to them – the agents of satan,” he authoritatively declared.

Joshua went on to shock congregants the more by reading out a message he had received concerning another foiled Boko Haram plot against The SCOAN. “Man of God, my name is Emmanuel,” the message stated. “I have a confession to make. I want to give my life to Jesus Christ. I am a Boko Haram member. I came to SCOAN to plant a bomb but could not do it because of the God who called you. I went back to Jos with the bomb which I still have with me now.”

 “The reason I am showing you this is for you to know the God you are serving,” Joshua explained. “God wants to reveal to you what He has been doing that you don’t know about,”he continued, adding that he knows ‘faithless’ attendees may likely stop visiting his church.

Joshua concluded by saluting the ‘martyrs’ who lost their lives in the tragic incident, describing them as people of faith who ‘knew the God they are serving’.

He insisted that truth would prevail amidst the conflicting reports arising concerning the cause of the building’s collapse. “Right from the beginning of my life, people have been lying but they still come back to the truth. That is a good life – for people to lie against you first before they realise the truth. Here I am – I leave it for you to judge. I am a prophet. The security have a job to do.”

BOKO HARAM: Gov. Kwankwaso Blasts Jonathan

 Kano state Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso has taken a swipe at President Goodluck Jonathan over his lack of political will to fight insurgency in the country

Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State on Sunday during a media chat with journalists in Benin said that President Goodluck Jonathan rather than fight the issue of insecurity in the country said: “Mr President has perfected plans to witch-hunt All Progressives Congress, APC, governors due to his presidential ambition.”

Kwankwaso described the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as “haven for criminals,” stating that as a result of the “misdirection, lack of focus” that made him leave the ruling party for the PDP for the APC.

He alleged that the “the President is busy beaming searchlight on opposition governors and APC leaders to accuse them of corruption just because he wants to become President for a second term while our children are dying in the North as insecurity and poverty have become the order of the day.

“That is the plot of the PDP but if they try to intimidate the opposition, they will not like what they will get.“The issue of insecurity in this country and many other countries requires everybody from all the political parties, people from all walks of life to work together to ensure that extremists, insurgents and criminals are defeated in Nigeria and elsewhere.”

Meanwhile Kwankwaso who said the Nigeria Army was competent expressed his confidence in the ability of the Military was competent to tackle the insurgency problem in the country.

“ I still believe that Nigeria has the military might to stop insurgency in the North East. Our military still remains competent and regarded as the best on the continent, going by their performances in peacekeeping missions on the continent and beyond.“

He, however, urged Nigerians to join in the fight against terrorism and the Federal Government to mobilise all its resources to ensure peace reigned in the North East of the country saying:

The challenge of insecurity in the country today is one that requires the support of everyone, irrespective of political party or tribe.

Meanwhile Governor Kwankwaso was in Benin to felicitate with Chief Gabriel Igbinedion on his 80th birthday celebration.

Kwankwaso, who is the present Governor of Kano state was a former Minister of Defence between 2003 and 2007.

It would be recalled recently, Governor Kwankwaso said President Jonathan has failed in his duty to put an end to terrorism rather he accused the president of spending time comparing himself with other first class leaders across the world rather than put an end to terrorism.

On Friday September 12th, a building inside the Synagogue Church of all Nation suddenly collapsed and according to NEMA officials, 17 people died while 120 people were rescued alive.In this new report, Ihechukwu Njoku, a freelance journalist (who writes a lot for SCOAN) who visited the scene of the tragic incident writes about what he saw and how many people ‘miraculously survived’ the building collapse. Thank You, Jesus”, a cry rang out from an onlooker, followed by a burst of relieved applause from the crowd of church helpers and rescue workers. They had been working non-stop since the giant building was reduced to rubble in a matter of seconds the previous day.

From a tiny hole at the far side of the wreckage, a body was being brought out. “She’s alive,” a man beside me reassured. Straining to look closer, I saw the woman, who was being stretchered toward an awaiting ambulance, waving her hands. “God of T.B. Joshua, you are wonderful,” the rescued lady exclaimed, her voice extraordinarily strong. She had been in the dark, under the rubble for over 24 hours.

“Bros,” I overheard a worker confiding in his colleague, “if not for God, no one should be brought out alive from there.” It was hard to disagree with his sentiment looking at the mangled remains of what was a six-storey building nearing completion.

“They’ve found another one,” a cry excitedly broke my musing, another cheer reverberating among onlookers. Despite the tragedy, the spirit of camaraderie was warming to behold. A small child was being brought out of the wreckage alive. “Wait,” one of the rescue team cautioned. “Her mother is still inside.” Moments later, mother and daughter were reunited.

“One thing you have to understand,” an official of Nigeria’s Emergency Management Association (NEMA) official told me on the condition of anonymity, “90% of those being rescued were eating or working the bottom floor of the building when it collapsed.” He shook his head in disbelief. “How they survived beats my imagination.”“The situation could have turned out much worse,” another member of the rescue team named Sunday corroborated. “If not for God, we could be talking of over 100 fatalities.”

 

I made my way toward one of the ambulances preparing to leave, hoping to catch a glimpse of another survivor. A man in his late 40s lay there, wet with sweat, bruised and breathing heavily. The discussion I overhead was poignant. “Was I really in that building,” he faintly questioned the nurse as she held his hand. “Thank your God,” she quietly replied. “We should call your name miracle.”

During a three-hour visit to The SCOAN, I witnessed no fewer than 30 people brought out of the wreckage through the concerted efforts of the rescue teams. All were alive.”

I hear you Ihechukwu but all these could have been avoided if they hadn’t tried to raise a 2-storey building to five. According to NEMA spokesman, the building (a guest house) was originally a two storey building and SCOAN was trying to raise it to five.
“The additional three was being constructed when it collapsed around 1p.m Friday afternoon. The church members have been very aggressive and tried attacking emergency responders.” NEMA spokesperson said yesterday.

Nigeria Army Aircraft Used Against Boko Haram Lost

Nigeria Air Force’s Alpha Jet (NAF 466) used in operation against the dreaded Boko Haram sect is reportedly missing around Adamawa state.

This was made known by the Defence Headquarters spokesman, Chris Olukolade who said that the carrier and its two pilots have not been located since Friday.

Major General Olukolade said in his statement today that the aircraft “left Yola at about 10:45a.m on 12 September 2014 on a routine operational mission and was expected back by 12:00 noon”.

“Since then, all efforts to establish contact with the aircraft have not yielded any positive result,” the statement said.

He however revealed that the Air Force are actively trying to make contact with the missing crew.

Sources in the Military told PREMIUM TIMES that the plane has been intensely bombing Boko Haram fighters in the area.

The Nigerian Army has been intensely bombing Boko Haram insurgents in and around Bama, Borno State’s other most important city after Maidugiri.

The military intensified the use of aerial bombardment after pulling off their men on the ground.

The aerial bombardment has proven quite successful as the insurgents are said to have lost extensive losses in men and equipment.

The military have revealed that after their victorious operation in Konduga, they recovered three Hilux vehicle and one Buffalo vehicle mounted with heavy anti-aircraft weapons.

As of now, it is still unclear whether the missing aircraft was shot down by Boko Haram fighters or simply involved in an accident.

This is the second time in two months that Nigeria’s aircraft will disappear flying over the Boko Haram infested region.

On July 21 Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Mi-35 helicopter had crashed while on a training mission. Two officers on board survived while the pilot sadly lost his life.

Obasanjo Pays Visit To Wounded Son In Jos

There was heavy security presence along the Barki Ladi, Heipang, Mararaban Jamare and old airport junction roads, Jos on Saturday, September 13, as former President Olusegun Obasanjo paid a visit to his wounded son Lt. Col. Adeboye Obasanjo.

Adeboye had been injured during a gun battle with Boko Haram in Maiduguri, Borno State and he is currently receiving treatment at 3rd Amoured Division Medical Centre, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Rukuba Barracks in the Tin City, Leadership reports.

Though some sources close to the family said that the injured officer may have already been treated and discharged and may simply be waiting in Jos to re-join his colleagues in the battle against Boko Haram.

Obasanjo was said to have arrived at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Heipang at about 5.45pm, where he was received by the deputy governor of Plateau State, Amb Ignatius Longjan and Gbong Gwom Jos His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, commander of the Special Task Force on Jos crisis, Major General David Eniete, the commissioner of police and the director of SSS.

From the airport, he was led by his escort to Obasanjo’s guest house along Wase Close where his injured son was waiting for him.

It was gathered that on arrival at his Wase guest house, he was greeted by the younger Obasanjo who rushed out meet to receive him and they both embraced each other.

After holding a meeting with his son, security chiefs, Gbong Gwom Jos and deputy governor Longjan, Obasanjo reportedly left the guest house at exactly 7:09pm back to the Yakubu Gowon Airport.

Adeboye, Commander, 135 Field Engineering Regiment of the Nigerian Army in the Plateau State capital, was injured during an ambush by Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri, Borno State, early last week while leading a Platoon.

BREAKING: Boko Haram Kidnap 50 Women In Adamawa

 Reports coming in states that Boko Haram fighter have reportedly kidnapped hundreds of people including women and children across Northern Adamawa State.

According to Daily Trust, Residents who got free and ran away said that the group kidnapped at least about 50 young women in Gulak town on saturday as the victims were assembled at a preaching ground.

Boko haram has been controling the areas of Madagali, Gulak and Michika, damaging lives and properties in the area.

One man known as Tija told reporters that he was trapped in a village near Gulak before his subsequent escape on Sunday.

He said that the women were loaded on to several vans and then taken away.

He said: “Some women brought the news that Boko Haram forcefully took some of them away including a sister in law to a friend of mine. The situation is getting worse by the day, our hope is that this problem will end one day”.

A resident of Husra village in Michika Local Government Area, Musa Uba said : “They conducted preaching sessions to attract converts to their sect but people only listened out of fear.

They next day they asked if anybody wanted to join them but there was no response, so they selected many healthy looking young men and asked them to go with them. One of the victims is my relative who did body building exercise regularly.

A politician in the area named Maina Ularamu said: “the information I have is that they selected some women and locked them in the local government Secretariat”.

Following critical reception of the Super Eagles last two games against Congo and South Africa, Sports Minister Tammy Danagogo has said that the NFF is responsible for the coach.

He revealed that the Nigeria Football Federation decision, if they want Keshi or not will not be influenced by outside forces.

With the Eagles qualification for Morocco 2015 Nations cup going badly having acquired only 1 point from a possible 6.

Fans and football critics have been asking for Keshi head, questioning his team selection and tactics and his interest in coaching the team.

The Sports Ministry’s media assistant said: “It is up to the NFF to decide who handles the Eagles. The Minister only requested that Keshi should handle the two games, since there was a vacuum.

“He offered to pay for the services rendered by coach Keshi. But now that the two games are done with, it is squarely at the feet of the NFF to decide.”

After the game, Keshi had stated that he is unaware of any future plans, as he has not been given any contract yet.

Keshi said: “I’m not sure yet. I was just brought in to help manage these two games. We have finished them now, so we’ll see what happens. If we (he and the Nigerian federation) come to an agreement, yes I’ll stay. If no, I’ll depart. Let’s see how it turns out when I get home.”

Super Eagles now have just a point after losing 2-3 to Congo and drawing 0-0  against South Africa.

Congo lead the group with 6 points, the South Africa with four, Eagles will face Sudan twice  in a row in October — home and away.

70 Missing as Ferry Sinks in Phillipines

 

A ferry sank off the central island of Leyte in the Philippines on Saturday evening in the midst of bad weather.

At least 84 people were on the ferry. However, 14 have been rescued so far, and 70 are missing, Yahoo News reports.

Rescue operations are still ongoing.

According to reports, “the ferry had problems with steering and had also been buffeted by heavy rains, worsened by Typhoon Kalmaegi which is approaching the northern Philippines.”
