Grandmother & 2 others Arrested for Killing Grandson and Using Him for Pepper Soup

A paternal grandmother and two others have been arrested for allegedly killing her grandson and using his corpse to cook pepper soup. The incident reportedly occurred in Koso Village, Niger State, according to Vanguard. Reports state that the late boy, Liman Doo Mohammed, mysteriously disappeared last month. His family reported his disappearance to police. During investigations, an undisclosed source told police that the boy’s paternal grandmother, Fatima Sarki should be questioned, as she was the last person to be seen with him. Sarki was eventually arrested, along with two other relatives of the boy. She reportedly confessed that she had taken part in slaughtering her grandson, and accused a woman named, Amina Musa, of helping to cook the body as part of a pepper soup delicacy. All arrested persons have been charged to court “on a three count charge of criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and cannibalism.” ”The pots and plates the suspects used in cooking and serving themselves with the said cooked human flesh were recovered and are now exhibits,” said Niger State Commissioner of Police, Olusola Amore.

21 year old American Jasmine Tridevil, claimed she had plastic surgery to create a third breast to scare men away. And now she wants her own MTV reality show. 

The woman who is based in Tampa Florida, shares pictures on her Facebook page to ‘show the struggles she faces because of her surgery.’ She said her main reason for getting a third breast was because she didn’t want to appear attractive to men.

“I got the surgery because I wanted to turn off guys. I know it sounds crazy but I don’t want to date again ever. I still like to feel pretty. If I got a third breast implant most guys would think that’s weird and gross. But I can still feel pretty. Jasmine claims she’s spent $20,000 on the procedure a few months ago, after struggling to find a doctor who would perform the operation.

“I called 50 doctors. It was really hard finding someone that would do it too because they’re breaking the code of ethics.” she said

She claims her third breast was made using an implant and skin tissue cut from her abdomen. She said her parents didn’t react well when they found out

“My mum ran out the door. She won’t talk to me. She won’t let my sister talk to me. My dad, he really isn’t happy. He is kind of ashamed of me but he accepted it.”

Robbers Shoot Pastor’s Mouth for Begging them not to Rape Daughter (Photo)

The heartlessness of some armed robbers who not only steal from their victims, but also kill or maim them, was manifested recently when a gang of armed robbers attacked a pastor of  pentecostal church in Abeokuta, Ogun State and shot him in the mouth for daring to plead that his daughter should not be raped.According to information gathered by Crime Reports, the gang members, including Sodiq Asimiyu (21) a.k.a. Nokia, Lekan a.k.a Goddey, Ayo a.k.a. AY, Seun Ojo a.k.a. Sepe, Kassim and Sunday, among others, assembled at a hemp joint at Ojupa area, Oke-Bode, Abeokuta, on May 31, 2014, from where they took off to a robbery operation, using two Bajaj motorcycles. They succeeded in their moves when they came across a man driving his Nissan X-terra Sport Utility Vehicle, whom they dispossessed of his vehicle in front of State Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta. Unsatisfied with the previous day’s loot, the gang took off again with the X-Terra vehicle at about 5a.m. on Sunday, June 1 and moved to Elite area, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, where they blocked a car driven by a Reverend at about 5.50a.m. while on his way to church with his wife and daughter. A police source further informed Crime Reports that the man was dispossessed of N150,000, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and HTC phone belonging to his daughter, among other items. Not satisfied, one of the armed robbers who eyed the cleric’s daughter with lust, ordered her to move away from her parents into the church, with the intention to sexually abuse her. On sensing this, the Reverend was said to have pleaded with them to spare his daughter since he had surrendered all they wanted to them. In a fit of anger over the pleading, one of the gang members pulled the trigger of the gang’s gun and shot the man in the mouth. Not yet done, another member went to their operational vehicle, brought out a bottle of beer, opened it and poured the content on the man of God where he fell. They left afterwards. Nemesis however caught up with Sodiq when he was arrested on September 11, 2014 when he reportedly came back to Abeokuta for another operation. He was caught with a cut-to-size single barrel gun put in a bag. Also arrested was one Tunde Egunjobi in whose house Sodiq was nabbed. Egunjobi was said to be the one releasing his motorcycle for robbery operation and had confessed to the police that he knew the gang members as armed robbers. Both are currently undergoing investigations at the Anti- Robbery section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, in Ogun State Police Command. Below are the excerpts of interview with the two suspects: Sodiq Asimiyu This is the first I would be going for robbery with the gang. I started with the gang six months ago. Ayo a.k.a. AY introduced me to robbery. I met AY at Saidi’s hemp joint where I used to smoke marijuana. He asked me to follow him somewhere but I didn’t know we were going for robbery. We went to Suraju a.k.a. Dajunja’s house at Oke-Bodea area of Abeokuta, from where the gang took off for robbery operation. I did not follow them that night but I knew they were going for robbery. Early the following morning, we entered the vehicle and started moving round the town looking for a victim to rob. Suddenly, I saw that AY who drove the vehicle blocked a vehicle by the side. We ordered the driver, his wife and daughter to lie down and dispossessed them of their belongings. Kassim shot the Reverend and Goddey opened a beer bottle and poured its content on him. I was given N40,000 out of the N150,000 collected from our victim. I returned to Lagos after the operation to continue my meat selling business. I came back to Abeokuta recently and was given a gun by one Mojeed who is a cultist. He told me that there was clash between him and other cult members over the presidency of the Eiye cult to which he belongs. He asked me to join him on a revenge mission. He put the gun in a bag which he gave me. I was also initiated into Eiye cult about four months ago. What happened was that anytime I had nothing to do, I would borrow Tunde’s motorcycle and one guy called School Boy and I would use it to snatch bags and dispossess people of their belongings. I used to give Tunde returns. I have been smoking marijuana for a very long time. I cannot remember the exact number of years but it is not less than five years. Tunde Egunjobi I knew Sodiq and School Boy also at hemp joint where I used to smoke marijuana. I knew that they were robbers but I didn’t report them because we live within the same community. It is sent by evil people, in form of an evil arrow. Her body will turn black and will be itching her ceaselessly. People are very wicked. “Then she had retired from the Customs service. I tried my best and God answered her prayer. She was very excited and decided to make me her spiritual father. She started pa­tronizing me, even if it was common headache. She said some of her boyfriends were in London. So, she invited one of them. When he came she told me he has arrived. The man came and left and she wasn’t still preg­nant. Around April this year, she came. She said she wanted to tell me something. She said she wanted to stop taking the medicine. That time, she had already paid N9 million. I encouraged her to continue for another two years since she has faith in me.”  She said she didn’t want to continue. She said she wanted her money back. I told her it’s not possible. She started threatening that she will come. She said she will be back with full force. I thought she was joking. We have never quarrelled. I was alarmed because I suspected that other trado medical doctors that she has been visiting could have bewitched her. She came again with her daughter to collect her money and threatened me. I was frightened by the way she was talking. I knew that as a Custom officer, she has a gun. I thought I should let her go to the police. She threatened she would report me. So, I let her go that day. Three days later, she came the same way with her daughter. “That day, I had to go to my house and gave her N2.5 million. She said by the next day, she will come and she did. She asked for the balance and I told her that she should leave me alone that I have other cases. She warned she will come in two days’ time and that when she does, it would be hell. So, I thought about it and prepared for her. That’s when the evil thought that landed me here came.”  “I wanted to report to the police but I knew that if I mentioned about the N6 million left I will be in trouble. I knew it was impos­sible for me to use a knife or gun to kill a human being created by God. She arrived as promised ranting and threatening hell. I went behind and covered that well with a mat and white cloth. I prayed to God to calm her down so that she will obey me. I came back to the living room and pleaded again that I will surely give her the money the next day. God heard my prayer and she calmed down. I told her to join me and pray at the backyard. She loves praying, so it was very easy to persuade her. “I asked her to kneel down on the white cloth… She drew the child, I asked her to leave the child behind. I moved the child back. Before I could stop her she had al­ready moved the girl with her and they knelt on the mat. Then I heard her shout ‘yeeee’as she fell into the deep well. She was scream­ing, and I had to move quickly and started packing sand into the well. It was getting late as at that time. I was able to pour in 50 buckets and was tired and terrified. I rushed to the mosque to pray and ask God for for­giveness. When I returned, I discovered that the girl was already on the surface of the sand. There was no way she could climb out because the well was still very deep. I had to silence her or she will tell the world what I did. I threw in heavy blocks till she became silent. I kept pouring sand till the well was filled up. The following day I called some labourers to seal off the place. I had to go to Jankara to see if I can sell the car,”  In the cell, I met all kinds of hardened criminals who were already re­pentant. They shared their testimonies with me, and advised that the only way God can ensure that I will live again is if I confess to the crime. I realised that my days will be longer here if they were not found. I would have been released at Oko Oba police sta­tion, if not that the family insisted that the case should be transferred to SARS. I felt that since there was no witness to the crime, I will be treated as an innocent man.”  Plea for mercy He blamed evil spirits sent by his ene­mies as the ones responsible for his ordeal. “I want the family to forgive me. If you see my heart, you will understand. I couldn’t even sleep in the house. This kind of thing has never happened to me before. If you ask anybody around there who I am, they will tell you. My job is to heal. It’s the devil. I didn’t do it with my normal mind. “She saw me as her spiritual father. I also assisted her to sell her house at Omole which we did at the cost of N74 million. She later bought a house at Agege at the price of N8million and also spent about N9 million. Initially, it was bought in my name because she never trusted her family members; she said she wanted to travel to America with her daughter. HER BROTHER SPEAKS Her immediate elder brother, Dr Mike Idida Kerry told Saturday Sun that the late Angela was very close to him till her current lifestyle drove her away from the family. “It is his word against hers and my sister is not here to defend herself. However, I gathered that Alhaji Olatunji, one Lizzy and one other Babatunde were involved in an oil block deal that did not turn out well. Part of the deal was that they will build a house for her at Banana Island. It was all fraud, they ended up killing her. The Angela that I knew was not desperate about having children. The only thing that happened was that the herbal doctors that she had faith in hypnotized her and she for­got her family.” She is my younger sister and was born in 1948. She is currently 66 years. We are from Abonina in Rivers State. We grew up in the North, then my mother was working at the Local Authority Hospital, Gusau. This was where they were born. After the war, we came down to Enugu till we finally returned to Rivers State. “It was after the war that she enrolled into Customs and rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Customs. She retired in 2004, having served the nation for 35 years. She had several relationships that almost re­sulted in a marriage but never did. She had several miscarriages till I was told that she adopted a child “As soon as we buried our mother 13 years ago, she started staying away from her siblings. I was not comfortable with her lifestyle and that caused a friction between us. In fact, I have not seen her in person again till I was called that she was missing. When I heard that she was missing, I thought she had travelled out without anyone’s knowledge, I never knew she was buried alive all this while. “If he was sincere, why did he buy a property for her in his name? The so-called house is a wretched place located by the canal. It will be sold and the money shared among her niece and nephews. I do not know why Alhaji Olatunji has decided to accept the blame alone. I guess that they took an oath not to disclose one another be­cause I am very sure that there was a con­spiracy. “I am a lecturer; I got my Ph.D in 1986. I taught in the same college of education with President Goodluck Jonathan. I do not need her property because I have a far better life than she did. I am an associate professor at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology. “Our main concern is how to bury her in the shortest possible time as the cost of keeping her in a morgue has doubled. Abomination!! Girl impregnated by own father in Oyo tells her Shocking story (Photos)

It is unbelievable. It sounds strange, though this is not the first time such would be happening. Each time the incident occurs, it sounds untrue. But it has happened again and there is a living being serving as a confirmation. A bouncing baby boy named Moses Okiki Bolutiwatife. The ‘it’ is incest committed by a 42-year-old Segun Oderinde against his 16-year-old daughter (name withheld)The name, Boluwatife, means ‘As God wills’, but is it really the will of God for a man to sire a child through his own biological daughter? Okiki also means ‘fame’ but is it this kind of fame the little baby would have wished himself? This is the strange thing that has happened in the Oderinde family in GboroCompound, Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government area of Oyo State. Crime Reports learnt that Oderinde and the mother of his daughter, one Funmilayo (37), divorced each other 13 years ago when the girl was just three years old. The young girl was in her mother’s custody until when September 2013 when Oderinde insisted on taking his daughter into custody. Not only that, he insisted that his daughter should be sleeping in the same room with him. Things however took a turn, according to reports, when on December 25, 2013, the teenager’s sleep was rudely interrupted by her father who came home drunk at about 1 a.m. asked her to get up. The girl’s eyes widened withshockand fear when her father brashly told her to remove her dress. As expected, the girl refused her father’s abnormal command but quickly complied when she saw him brandishing a well-sharpened, glittering cutlass, with a threat to sever her head in a jiffy if she was not fast in obeying hisinstruction. He succeeded in having sexual intercourse with her, albeit forcefully. Unable to comprehend her father’s action, the girl reported the incident to one of her stepmothers, who promised to find out if her claim was true. Whether the woman asked her husband or not, the girl did not know. Her ordeal however continued when the man had sex with her again in March and April 2014, unknown to her that she was already pregnant with the first encounter. When she started feeling weak by the end of April, she was said to have been taken to Ronke Clinic, Igbeti, by her stepmother who is a nurse and was confirmed to be pregnant by one Mrs Elizabeth Aremu. The proprietress of the clinic reportedly informed the girl’s father and her paternal grandfather of the result of the pregnancy test carried out on the girl and her confession which indicted her father. Oderinde was said to have denied the allegation and started maltreating his daughter until the case was reported at the Igbeti Division of Oyo State Police Command on April 30, 2014

When the report was received, The Divisional Police Officer, Mr Oyelere Ishola, was said to have taken the girl to General Hospital, Igbeti where the pregnancy was re-confirmed. She was referred to a diagnostic centre to ascertain the duration of the pregnancy, and the ultrasound scan done at one Bethsaida Hospital, Igbeti on May 1, 2014 indicated that the girl was four months and two weeks pregnant. She was given the second week of September 2014 as the expected delivery date. Crime Reports further learnt that the DPO and the Divisional Crime Officer had to take it upon themselves to register the teenager for ante-natal care at the General Hospital and while investigation was ongoing, Oderinde, who had initially denied having carnal knowledge of his daughter, confessed to have committed the act but denied impregnating his daughter. Based on the confession, Crime Reports gathered that on May 30, the incestuous man was arraigned inMagistrate Court, Kisi on charge number MKS/8C/2014 on a three-count charge including rape. He was thereafter remanded in prison custody. The teenager was reported to have delivered a healthy baby boy on September 9, 2014 and on September 16, the baby was named Moses Okiki Boluwatife Oderinde. This means that Oderinde is the father and grandfather of his daughter’s baby! Speaking with Crime Reports from her mother’s house where she had been staying since she was discharged from hospital, the teenage mother narrated her story thus: “I was living with my mother until 2013 when my father asked me to come and live with him. On December 25, 2013, my father woke me up and asked to remove my clothes but I refused. He drew a cutlass and threatened to kill me if I did not do his bidding. Afraid, I removed my clothes and he forcefully had sex with me. He was the first man to sleep with me because I had never had sex before then. “The following day, I reported to one of his two wives who was a nurse and she promised to ask him, but I don’t know whether she eventually did. In March, 2014, he did the same thing again and I ran to his second wife’s house and reported to her. She asked me to swear to an oath with a bible but I refused since I knew I was saying the truth. I started sleeping in her apartment. “In April, he came to tell me to return to his apartment to do some things for him but I refused to go. His wife however put pressure on me to answer my father’s call since he wanted me to do some things for him at home. I followed him after much pressure. “Unfortunately for me, on Saturday preceding Easter celebration, precisely on April 18, he had sex with me again. All the while, I did not know I was pregnant.  I had my last menstruation in December 2013. “My stepmother suspected I was pregnant and took me to one Mrs Aremu who confirmed the pregnancy. The case was reported at the police station and I started living with my paternal grandfather until I fell into labour. My mother wanted the pregnancy to be aborted but the doctor said he could not do it. “After I was delivered of the baby and my grandfather was told that the baby has a striking resemblance with my father, he ran away and has not been seen since then. “Since the confirmation of the pregnancy, the DPO and the DCO were the ones who purchased baby things and other items that I would need during and after delivery. They also paid my hospital bill. I now stay with my mother and she is helping me to take care of the baby.” The girl appealed to members of the public to come to her aid so that her education would not be stalled. “I want to return to school. I was in JSS2 when this happened but I don’t want it to mark the end of my academic pursuit,” the girl said. Nigerian Tribune..

Crisis in NLC as N400 Million for Housing Scheme Goes Missing

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is currently embroiled in controversy over the alleged disappearance of N400 million, which is part of contributions of Nigerian workers for a housing project.

The money is part of the sum of N960 billion allocated for a mortgage scheme for Nigerian workers, Vanguard reports. Sources say the project is being spearheaded by a private company in collaboration with NLC leaders and  a Greek national, and is aimed at providing houses for workers in the 36 states.

According to reports, the money mysteriously disappeared from one of NLC’s bank accounts in a new generation bank in Abuja.

A suspect linked to the disappearance of the money was reportedly on the run, but was later apprehended by Director of State Service (DSS) authorities and released afterwards.

Investigations are still ongoing.

Ibinabo says she said yes without thinking when he proposed to her and that her children and his planned his proposal to her

"I think it was God's will because I just said yes without thinking about it. Everything was just perfect. Perfect timing also. He is an Igbo man. I think the kids planned it more than we did. That's how it is because the day he asked me, his kids were calling and the kids were all abroad while we were in Nigeria so everybody was eager to know my reply. The kids were like daddy have you asked, mine were also calling to say mummy hope you said yes. It was a beautiful moment and everyone was happy" she said.

On what she admires about her fiance, she said

"He looks after a woman every well. He adores me and he is a family oriented man. He loves his family. He loves us totally and he is committed to his work. He encourages me a lot in what I do and we pray a lot. We have the fear of God which is paramount in our relationship. I think we are heading the right direction and of course with my kind of lifestyle, and the kind of work that I do, every man would withdraw but no, he is always there, giving me the strength, support and ideas to better what I am doing. So I really do admire him"

On her proposed December wedding, Ibinabo said;

"We are getting married in December. The actual date has not been fixed yet but it is specifically in December. Everything is in progress by the grace of God" she said

Cameroon military is claiming they killed BH leader Shekau, shares pic

In a rare public show by the Cameroon army, photos of the Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau were made public alongside a statement claiming he was killed during a cross border raid deep inside Nigeria by the Cameroon military. A Cameroon military source who spoke to Cameroon Concord late last night, revealed that Abubakar Shekau was killed following an aerial bombardment of his hideout inside Nigeria. Boko Haram kills 9 In Borno

Members of the dreaded terrorists group, Boko Haram on Sunday killed nine people in a popular market in Monguno village, Borno State.

Vanguard reports that the attack which also left ten people injured with bullets wounds occurred at about 3p.m. it was reported that the insurgents who disguised as customers stormed the market in broad day and started shooting at the traders.

According to a trader, who gave his name as Mallam Abubakar Ali Monguno, the terrorists were believed to be on a target mission as they shot at selected traders before eluding the scene of the attack.

“When they stormed the market, they shot at my neighbour, before proceeding to other shops as they were much selective in their operations” he said.

He said several petty traders who scampered for safety abandoned their goods during the shooting, and later returned to get them.

DSP Gidoen Jubrin, the state police Public Relations Officer could not be reached for confirmation but another senior security personnel, who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the incidence.

“Yes, some suspected members of Boko Haram sect launched an attack on Monguno village market killing nine persons and injuring about 10 others currently receiving treatment in one of the treatment centres in the state. Already security operatives have been drafted to the scene and normalcy has since been restored in the area” the source said.

Meanwhile, Monguno is about 100 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital that had witnessed relative peace for almost a year ago after failed attempt by the terrorists to destroy the military barracks in the area.

The blood thirsty group on Sunday, September 21, 2014, also attacked another market in Borno State, where the reportedly killed over 20 people.

It would be recalled that last year, 54 people including 24 vigilante youths (Civilian JTF), 14 Shuwa Arab herdsmen and 16 civilians were killed by suspected Boko Haram members in three different Local Government Areas of Monguno, Damboa and Nganzai in Borno state.

Atiku Reveals Why North Won’t Vote For PDP

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice-President of Nigeria has revealed why the Northern part of the country would not vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 general election.

Vanguard reports that the presidential aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who spoke at the weekend in Lagos, an interactive session with selected youths stated that PDP had done nothing to attract any vote from the region.

The former vice president also used the medium to reveal that he would support whoever emerged presidential candidate of APC if he did not get the ticket to run. He, however, expressed doubts on the capability of the Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria, INEC, to conduct a free and fair election in 2015.

“Asking me to not contest is asking me to give up on Nigeria. The North will not vote for the PDP because the party has failed everybody. This period presents an opportunity for change”he said.

Atiku further hinted that before now, the PDP was big and the absence of a viable opposition then allowed the party to become monstrous, and noted that with the emergence of the APC, there is now choice. He expressed optimism that there is no way Nigerians can vote for the PDP in 2015, alleging that the party has failed everybody.

The Presidential aspirant, who claimed all Nigerians yearn for change, said the opportunity was not there to attain such change because there was only one big monster party- PDP.

“A number of reasons have been adduced as responsible for insurgency. Some said the region was the most backward region in the country, with widespread poverty and illiteracy. But these are not reasons why people should take arms and start killing innocent Nigerians. There is poverty everywhere in this country” he said.

Atiku, who acknowledged that there is unemployment everywhere in the country, recalled that a similar situation arose in Yobe State when he was still in office, but pointed out that it did not take more than a month to crush the uprising.

“I think the mistake we made after crushing the insurgency, was not going back to the people to know why they took up arms against the country. We failed to listen to them and provide solution to whichever grievance they had. Today, there is a recurrence. There is failure of leadership in the war against terrorism in terms of capacity” he said.

The former leader further stated that the Nigerian armed forces should be well equipped and financed to combat insurgency. He said there was also a problem of intelligence gathering among the neighbouring countries.

”The President visited Chad and Cameroon recently, what I expected was a meeting with the service chiefs of the countries and their military commanders. I think we have a number of factors that have contributed to the growth of insurgency. That is why we believe that there must be a change” Atiku said.

Meanwhile, the former vice president on September 20, 2014, took a swipe at President Goodluck Jonathan, saying; “he is more experienced in the field of running the country.”

Pres. Jonathan to decide whether he will rerun with VP Sambo- PDP

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, says President Jonathan will be the one to determine if he would still like to run with his Vice, Namadi Sambo in the 2015 general elections.

Metuh said this at a press conference yesterday September 21st in Abuja. He also said that President Jonathan is yet to respond to the decision the party members took on Thursday September 18th where he was adopted as the sole Presidential candidate of the PDP

"The President is yet to communicate to the party or to the entire country because he is not only the President of the PDP, he is the President of Nigeria and I cannot inform you of decisions that have been taken in terms of what will happen because subjective opinions is not part of my job. I believed a lot of people are trying to speculate on Jonathan/Sambo ticket but why don’t we wait until when the President declares?
But I must inform that part of the reasons the PDP has not mentioned that, is because it is a winning team. What the President has done he has done it very well and he's the winning team. I believe that there is no need to magnify or attempt to import any difference between the President and the Vice President. They have worked so well. The Vice President has continued to be the second most loyal Vice President in the history of this country so I believe that he enjoys the confidence of the President. In the 2015 elections if the President accepts to run we will be able to take it to the next level.” Metuh said

Toke Makinwa speaks on her marriage, her secret wedding and on getting paid for attending parties

In an interview with City People magazine this week, media personality, Toke Makinwa Ayida spoke about her marriage, why she and her husband settled for a surprise wedding and also how she gets paid for attending some events in Lagos. Excerpts from the interview below...

"To be honest with you, I thank God everyday for the kind of man that I married. I can't take that for granted. Marriage is a big deal and I wish a lot of young people will take out time to really understand what marriage is all about. Even me, what do I know? I have only been in it for about 8 months but I thank God for the kind of person that he is. He is my support system. I think he kind of likes what I do. So he is one of my biggest fans. Even when I forget certain things, he is the one that is always pushing me, have you thought about this? What about doing this? Why don't you try that? There is absolutely nothing that I can't talk to him about. We are thinking of doing a lot of work together as well hopefully in 2015" she said

On why they chose a surprise wedding, Toke said;

"To be honest with you, I can't understand it myself. I think it happened the way it was meant to happen. If we didn't do it this way, I don't think it would have happened till now. There was so much surrounding Toke and Maje's union"

On why she thinks people were interested in her personal life, she said

"I honestly don't know. People seemed interested in it I guess. There was just so much of both of us out there. The bible says all things work together for all those that trust God. So at that point, for me, I could have broken up and living my life and I was ready to be single again and I woke up one morning again here I am, I am married. It happened the way it was supposed to happen. That is the only way we could have done it" she said.

Toke said she doesn't attend functions with her husband much because she has learnt to compartmentalize her life

"I think its all about putting things into compartments and properly compartmentalizing things because at the end of the day, he is an individual. He has his own life. He is loving what he does and I am loving what I do and it just works for both of us" she said

On how they balance their lives as a couple being that she's very outgoing and her husband is private, Toke said;

"It has always been our personalities. He is amazing. He is a reserved person. I am the feisty one. It works. We both can't be out there. We both can't have the personality that I have. He is much older than I am as well. We just laugh through everything that comes our way. There are times he follows me out. There are times he attends some events that I have to make an appearance at. There are times I literary have to beg him and he says you know what, just go. I am tired I just want to tap some football at home and I go and I come back. And we are always in communication. We are always talking.We are fine. It works for us" she said

Toke who describes herself as the life of a party, says she gets paid for some of the event she attends

"Attending events is part of work as well. I do get paid to attend some events. When you grow a brand and it becomes a solid brand, people will what to associate with that and if they have some products or services that they have that would align with your brand, they invite you to be part of it. Just like people feel like you been at certain evenyts might also add some glamour to it. I see it as work as well. I really don't go out like that, in terms of having fun or chilling at home. I think I enjoy the fact that it's a job and I am getting paid for it. I am the life of a party and that hasn't changed. I love talking, I love to go out to listen to music and have a good time. That's who I am and I am truly happy to be with someone who appreciates that part of me. He loves it so no problem

Graphic pics: Fracas in Lagos Island as popular politician is killed

Political campaigns have begun and the first casualty has been recorded in the centre of Lagos politics, the Lagos Island. A popular local politician named Azeez Ashake was shot dead at close range in front of his house at Isale Eko on Saturday September 20th by suspected political thugs.

His son, Usman was also shot but is said to still be alive receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos Island. Azeez Ashake is said to be a strong leader of a particular political group in Lagos Island, and is said to be very influential. His killing caused a lot of chaos in Isale Eko over the weekend, where it's been reported that four people have so far been killed in retaliation for his death. Mom 'used her last breath' to save daughter by hiding her in the toilet as marine father shoots her dead

A mother saved her six-month-old baby with her 'last breath,' sheltering the infant in the toilet after her boyfriend shot her in the head and turned the gun on himself. Jessica Arrendale, 33 (pictured with her baby), was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head along with Antoine Davis (right), 30, who police believe shot himself and Arrendale in a murder-suicide in an Atlanta suburb.

Police had surrounded Arrendale's townhouse. When they finally entered the home, they found the baby safe inside and rushed her to the hospital to treat her for hypothermia.

Officers arrived at the home in Smyrna in the early morning hours Sunday, responding to a call that there was someone in the home armed with a gun. 

Arrendale's mother, Teresa Ionniello, told WSB Radio that Arrendale and Davis were together the night that Davis became 'belligerently drunk and abusive,' an episode that sadly had happened many times before in their relationship.

Davis chased Arrendale up to the third floor of her home, where Arrendale picked up a baseball bat to defend herself, according to Ionniello, though Davis overpowered her and struck her with the bat.

Arrendale then barricaded herself in the bathroom with their six-month-old, Cobie. Davis went to get his firearm, an assault rifle, from the closet, and it was around this time that police arrived at the home..

Davis's ex-wife Tamaira Chesley described Davis in kind terms, saying that lately he had been struggling with depression and mentioning a custody dispute he had with Arrendale

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that police evacuated nearby homes as a precaution and attempted to make contact with the armed man inside.

When officers made the decision to breach the doors around 1:30 p.m., they found the bodies of Arrendale and Davis, both killed by gunshot wounds to the head, Davis's reportedly self-inflicted.

Cobie was found in the toilet bowl, covered by her mother's body but safe and alive. SWAT officers rushed her to the hospital to treat her for hypothermia. "She had pure will. She wanted that baby to live,' Ionniello said of her daughter. 'Her last breath was saving the child.

Photo: Police hunt man who killed siblings, hacked two in Edo state

The Edo State police command has launched a manhunt for 50 year old Mike Okeze, for allegedly hacking two children to death and viciously attacking two others.

According to a report by Punch, Okeze stormed the home of his neighbour, Oliver Udeh, last Wednesday September 17th in Okha II community, off Old Sapele Road in the Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State, and attacked his children with a machete. He killed Udeh's two children, Destiny (3years) and Samson (6years). He then attacked two other children, Goodness (4years - pictured left) and Gift (8years - pictured right). He severed Goodness' arm and tore the nose of Gift. Continue...



According to the Edo state Police spokesman, Noble Uwoh, Okeze, who is currently on the run, attacked the children inside their home after he had a disagreement with their mother, Chinyere Udeh. He said Okeze immediately fled the scene but a manhunt has been launched by the state Police command

“The suspect murdered the two children in his neighbour’s apartment, following a misunderstanding between him and the Udehs. The man actually had a misunderstanding with the wife and the man went to her house and murdered a six-year-old boy and another three-year-old boy. The same suspect went ahead to inflict injuries on two other children of that woman who are currently undergoing treatment, while two corpses have been deposited in the mortuary. The injured ones are Gift Oliver, eight years, and Goodness Oliver, four years. The suspected killer fled the scene, but investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to locate and arrest the man. We have launched a manhunt for him.” he said

Speaking about the sad incident, Oliver Udeh, who hails from Enugu state, said Okeze was initially going to attack his wife, Chinyere, but when she ran to get help from Neighbors, he descended on their young children

“The man attacked four of my children with a cutlass. Two died, while the remaining two are at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. I have six children. My other two boys and my wife escaped from the man. The corpses of the two who died are at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin. It was my wife that he wanted to kill. But she ran away to call our neighbors. When they arrived at my house, he ran away into the bush and we have yet to find him. I didn’t have any problem with him. But my wife told me that he hated my children. So, when I traveled, he attacked my family with a cutlass and killed two of my children.
