P-Square Denied Visa To Namibia Due To Ebola Scare

According to reports, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Namibia has confirmed to that Pop star twins Psquare’s visa application to Namibia was rejected by the country’s High Commission in Nigeria.

P-square’s forthcoming concert in Namibia just turned into a huge disappointment after the country’s immigration office allegedly refused to grant the popular music group visas. The duo was billed to perform at a grand musical show down organized by the Namibian Breweries Limited at Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek on Saturday Sept.28, with VIP tickets already sold-out. The concert was also set to kick off the group’s “Double Trouble” tour. But following the country’s strict border laws  disallowing people from Ebola-infected nations into Namibia, Psquare might not be able to get on with their high-profile event on time. According to starafrica.com, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Namibia, Biodun Nathaniel Olorufemi has confirmed to Namibian Sun on Wednesday that the P-Square’s visa application to travel to Namibia was rejected by the country’s High Commission in Nigeria. To make matters even worse, the Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Patrick Nandago insists the government policy that people from Ebola stricken countries are not allowed to enter the country, until further notice. His statement came even without the slightest idea of Psquare visa chaos. Meanwhile Psquare’s publicist, Bayo Adetu – in a phone chat with Pulse.ng – said “I have no idea about that… The boys are travelling.” He further added that, “However, everybody just needs to be careful”. He won’t pretend to be someone he’s not, to win the grand prize. ‘It’s very disappointing to get booted out and know that you weren’t your real self. I would rather lose the money at the expense of being myself. Then I can say I tried my level best. Everybody has his own morals,’ says Mr 265. Asked about his feelings on knowing that the continent’s eyes will be glued to their screens 24/7, he says he’ll feel the pressure. ‘Pressure is and will be there for the first few days. I am taking it like a new job’.

He says that the best thing about Africa is that it’s very rich in natural resources, with Mangochi as his favourite place. Further afield, his favourite place is the USA, because ‘it’s a big country and has a mixture of different people with different cultural backgrounds. Raw talent is an asset,’ he says.

Her favourite place in Mozambique is Maragra. She says the best thing about Africa is that ‘it’s the Motherland – you feel the warmth here’. Her favourite faraway place is the United States, because she loves the diversity there.

If she wins the grand prize, she says she’ll build her parents a retirement home, open a soup kitchen and shelter in the heart of Maputo and start a business to create more employment opportunities.

She describes herself as ‘fun, honest, reliable, fair and considerate’ and says that she’s ‘laid-back and easy to talk to’. She enjoys people who are considerate, honest, reliable, fun and opinionated, but doesn’t like rude and judgemental people.

He entered Big Brother Hotshots because he believes that ‘people naturally fall in love with my personality, so I know I stand a chance of winning that grand prize and changing my life’.Macky2 says he won’t lose himself and what he believes in, along the way.

The insider told MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY, "Amber has had a crush on Nick since forever. He was like a mentor to her, and I think she fell in love."

Nigerian Army confirms Boko Haram leader Shekau is dead

Nigerian troops have been conducting coordinated air and land operations in furtherance of efforts at containing the terrorists in the North East part of the country. Somehow, it became apparent that the terrorists in continuation of their campaign of terror were determined to take over communities around Maiduguri which is their prime target.

There was therefore the need to ensure that communities such as Konduga were protected. It is noteworthy that the terrorists made not less than four attempts between 12 and 17 September 2014 to violate the security and enter Konduga to perpetrate their atrocities. Air and land forces were subsequently deployed to handle the situation.

 The convoy of combat vehicles typical of terrorists’ mission that involves their top commanders, were fiercely engaged by the land and air forces. Several of the terrorists including some of their commanders lost their lives in the encounters which lasted an average of about 5 hours each.

The troops captured some of the terrorists and their equipment. In the course of those encounters, one Mohammed Bashir who has been acting or posing on videos as the deceased Abubakar Shekau, the eccentric character known as leader of the group died. Since the name Shekau has become a brand name for the terrorists’ leader, the Nigerian military remains resolute to serve justice to anyone who assumes that designation or title as well as all terrorists that seek to violate the freedom and territory of Nigeria.

On restoring normalcy after the encounter, inhabitants of the community who were victims of terrorists activities corroborated information on the identity of Bashir Mohammed alias Abubakar Shekau, alias Abacha Abdullahi Geidam alias Damasack etc. Indeed, the recent devastation on the leadership of the insurgents is attributable to the renewed commitment to the mission of eradicating terrorism in our country.

Meanwhile, a total of 135 terrorists have yesterday evening surrendered along with equipment to troops around Biu Local Government Area. A group of 88 submitted themselves at Mairiga/Bun – Yadi while another group of 45 terrorists were taken in around Mubi – Michika. They are all being interrogated and processed in conformity with the dictates of standard best practices.

The Defence Headquarters applauds the gallantry of the Nigerian troops who have remained undaunted and professional in prosecuting this campaign against terror. The keen interest exhibited by our neighbours and allies is commendable and we appreciate them. All allies in the war against terrorism are hereby assured of the Nigerian military’s resolve to maintain momentum in the efforts to decimate and defeat terrorists. The invaluable efforts toward achieving sustainable peace and victory against the terrorists are highly appreciated.

62 Year Old U.S Man Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Raping Puppy

OMG. Why would anyone rape a puppy?

A 62-year-old Florida man,  James Guy Bull has been sentenced to five years in prison for fondling and raping his 8-month-old pit bull puppy named Coco, USA Today reports.

In March, two of Bull’s neighbours told authorities that they had seen him fondling Coco’s private parts on numerous occasions. Another neighbour said that as he was walking past Bull’s apartment one day, he caught him raping the dog.

Police authorities visited his residence where they found evidence that he had indeed raped Coco. It was also discovered that the accused had been starving the dog and depriving her of shelter.

Bull pleaded guilty to “two counts of felony cruelty to animals, misdemeanor animal cruelty charges and misdemeanor sexual activities involving animals.”

Coco has since been taken to an animal rescue group, who have renamed her “Rose.”

India Reaches Mars on First Attempt

New Delhi (Xinhua/NAN) – India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said on Wednesday that India has become the first nation to have successfully reached Mars on its maiden attempt.

He announced from the headquarters of the state-owned space agency in the southern city of Bangalore, that with 74 million dollars, the cheapest inter-planetary mission ever to be undertaken, an historic feat was made for the country’s indigenous space programme.

“India has reached Mars, history has been created, we are the only country to have succeeded in its first attempt,” he said.

Modi said that  the success was an indication that India was a country full of determination to succeed.

“We have made it a habit of achieving the impossible. Humanity would not have progressed if we had not taken such leaps into the unknown and space is the biggest unknown out there,” he said.

Modi said that Mars has got its Mars Orbiter Mission, (MOM) and the moment it was named MOM, he knew it would not disappoint.

He commended the efforts of the scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), for the laudable achievements.

“You have inspired our future generation, in spite of our many limitations, we aspired for the best and the success of our space programme has been an example of our achievement,” he said.

Modi said ISRO joined an elite group of only three other agencies worldwide to have successfully reached the Red Planet.

“India has now joined the U.S. the European Space Agency and the former Soviet Union in the elite club of Martian explorers,’’ he said.

He said MOM was launched in November last year, by placing its mission in Mars orbit.

Amber Rose has filed for divorce from husband-of-1-year Wiz Khalifa ... and she's gunning for full custody of their kid.

In the divorce docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Amber says they split on Monday and cites irreconcilable differences.

Amber is asking for full legal and physical custody of their 1-year-old son Sebastian. She's willing to give Wiz visitation.

And this is interesting. Amber acknowledges there's a prenup, which you would think would work in Wiz' favor, but she says it's valid ... presumably, she's not challenging it. The docs say the prenup provides spousal support.

As for why they split, there's been a buzz over the last few days of infidelity, but there's no mention of it in the papers.

We got video of Amber with some guy Tuesday in Bev Hills. Our photog asks her if Wiz is keeping a close eye on Nick Cannon -- there are rumors they've hooked up, but she's mum.

Sources connected with the couple say the split is bitter.

How APC Plan To Win 2015 Elections

Speaking today, September 24, in Abuja some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed hope over their party’s victory in the 2015 presidential elections.

According to NAN, several APC representatives commented on their optimistic position in separate interviews, following the official declaration by the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar. It is worth mentioning that Atiku is considered one of the key opposition figures in the country.

Mr Sale Mustapha said when interviewed:

“I believe that APC is going to win the forth coming 2015 presidential election in Nigeria. With the spate of happenings around, APC, if given an opportunity, will make a change.”

Another member identified as Mallam Danlami Abubakar, spoke about the party strategy and how they want to win the votes of Nigerians:

The declaration venue was reportedly filled with youths from various support groups.

Meanwhile yesterday the National Coordinator of Goodluck Jonathan Support Group (JSG) Professor Rufai Alkali said that pro-Jonathan groups have currently about 80 million members.

On September 18 the ruling party adopted the incumbent president as a sole PDP candidate for the February elections, with the party primaries scheduled for December 6.

52 Boko Haram Members Arrested in Biu, Borno state

52 Boko Haram members have reportedly been arrested in separate operations in Biu Borno state by security operatives. According to military sources, the men were arrested between yesterday Sept. 23rd and today September 24A military source said some of the sect men had boarded a truck in a bid to leave the state but were arrested after the truck driver notified soldiers at a checkpoint that passengers in his vehicle had threatened to kill him if he did not take them out of the state. “We arrested over 50 members of the Islamic sect following tips we got from the driver as well as locals. I can tell you they are cooperating and giving us useful information” the security source said A member of the local volunteer group, Aliyu Mamza, said his group was also instrumental to the arrest of the sect members. According to him, 46 BH men hid in the compartment of the truck meant for transporting goats and were exposed after the driver of the truck notified soldiers. Six other members were arrested at the Biu bus station as they were about boarding a bus out of Borno.
