Dumped Husband Queues for 44 Hours to Buy iPhone 6 to Appease Angry Wife

If your wife is mad at you, perhaps you could buy her flowers an iPhone 6 to appease her.

Darius Wlodarski, a 41-year-old man from Poland, queued outside an Apple store in Bristol, England for 44 hours to buy an iPhone 6 to make his estranged wife happy, Daily Mail reports.

He arrived a day before anyone else, and was the first person in the queue.

His wife, Joana, whom he was married to for 20 years, is said to have left him after accusing him of “valuing material possessions over his family.”

Despite their breakup, Wlodarski was determined to keep a promise he made to her before their split – to buy her an iPhone 6.

“I did so many things wrong and I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could.

It took me a while to realise what really mattered – and that is my family.

My wife said to me I should remember that it is now  ‘things’ that matter, that I was worrying too much about saving for things, and she was right.

I know an iPhone is another ‘thing,’ but I told her I would get her one and I wanted to keep my promise,” he said.

“Wearing tight shape wear can cause blood clots & death” – Health Experts

Lagos (NAN) – An Orthorpaedic Surgeon, Akintayo Akindele, on Friday in Lagos, cautioned women against wearing tight body shapers to guard against gastrointestinal problems, nerve damage and even deadly blood clots.

Akindele of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that body shaping underwear, popularly called  “girdles’’ among women, were used to achieve a slimmer look.

He said that the undergarments which also help women achieve a smooth, flat stomach could pose serious health risk as they may restrict blood flow around the body.

“When women wear really tight body shapers, it can decrease and restrict the blood flow.

“This can lead to blood clots which can travel to the lungs, heart, the brain and even lead to death.

“Tight shape wear can be restrictive; you may have trouble breathing properly. Some women have even fainted in extreme cases.

“Such extremely tight garment squeezes the lungs, causing your lungs to have difficulty expanding enough to take in a proper amount of oxygen,’’ he said.

Akindele said that body shapers gave the illusion of a smaller figure, flattening the stomach and bringing in the waist line.

He, however, urged women to ensure that they wear body shapers that fit comfortably to prevent health problems.

Muhyi Abubakar, an Orhorpaedic Surgeon at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Abuja, said women should be careful not to choose tight body shapers.

Abubakar said that most women wear tight body shapers as substitute for losing weight.

“Tight body shapers are not good substitute for losing weight which is the major reason most women wears them.

“You are just squeezing the body too much and you are placing either direct pressure on to a nerve or squeezing internal organs,’’ he said.

Abubakar advised women to eat right and engage in regular physical exercise for weight loss rather than resort to body shapers.

“If you must wear body shapers, ensure you are very comfortable in it. If you notice that your curves are not smoothed out, this means that you need a larger size, not a smaller one.

“The fact is you have to listen to your body.

“If you are uncomfortable, it suggests that you are not wearing the right type or size of body shapers and this could lead to health risks,’’ said the expert.

Ebola: Lagos Clears Last Suspect | Affirms September 22nd Resumption Date

Ikeja  (NAN) – The Lagos State Government on Friday said the last suspected case of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the state had been cleared having tested negative after surveilance.

Governor Babatunde Fashola disclosed this while giving an update on the virus at the Secretariat Central Mosque, Alausa, where he observed Jumat Prayers.

The governor said the development meant that the state was now Ebola free and that it was safe enough for schools to resume on September 22nd.

“The last time when we discussed the issue, I told you that about 19 people were still under observation over the Ebola Virus Disease. They were there not because they had the disease but because they were showing suspected symptoms.

“But I am glad to report to you that the last person under surveillance was cleared this morning. He tested negative and that means there is no more Ebola in Lagos.

“Now that the disease has been successfully contained, schools can resume for normal academic session,” he said.

Fashola said the declaration that the state was now free did not mean Ebola threats had been completely eliminated.

According to him, the situation in Sierra Leone, Liberia and other high risk countries meant cross–border transmission threat is still there.

He, however, said the state government was implementing strict measures to ensure the disease was confined to history.

The governor urged residents to be vigilant and to take precautions that would ensure their safety from the disease.

Fashola also advised residents to keep their environment clean and maintain good personal hygiene as diseases thrive in dirty environments.

The incident reportedly led the DCE to refer the child to the guidance and counseling unit of the Ghana Education Service. He also demanded that a report be sent to his office. He also assured that the little boy would receive all necessary support to ensure that he becomes a responsible citizen and not an armed robber.

James, of Clifton, Salford, was said to be an ‘exemplary student’ at Harper Green High School in Farnworth, Bolton, excelling in art and also pursuing hobbies including chess, sailing and scuba-diving. He could read and write Japanese. His family said he had a ‘heart of gold’ and was a hard-working, polite, conscientious boy. But he was also a fearless tree climber and loved nothing better than to play, high up in the branches, his sister Ashleigh, 21, said. Tragedy struck on April 28, on James’s first day back at school after the Easter holiday. He left to go to school as normal only to slip away to Clifton Marina and Country Park. His mother, Wendy, 43, a care co-ordinator, had no idea James had skipped classes until he was not home by 6pm. Thinking James would be at his friend’s house, she and her husband Barry, 43, were preparing to go there to check when a policeman knocked on the door to say their son’s body had been found by a dog walker. Schoolbooks were strewn around the surrounding area and a note was found in James’s pocket which said he was ‘fed up’ and wanted to leave all of his possessions to his younger brother. But Mrs Jones told the hearing in Bolton: ‘I don’t think he tried to take his life. ‘James had also written “don’t be sad”, but he scribbled that out. ‘I think he was trying to swing up in the tree and got caught. Ugandan Men Complain that Condoms are Too Small for Them

Many Ugandan men have reportedly complained to the government that the condoms in Uganda are too small for them. The condoms have been described as being “too short for their sexual organs,”Metro UK reports.

According to reports, the small size of the condoms often leads to increased pressure during sex, which tends to cause the condoms to  unexpectedly burst, thus providing inadequate protection against HIV. About 80,000 people in Uganda die every year from HIV. White House: Man Jumps Fence Of Presidential Residence

A man in America caused panic in the White House when he jumped over the fence and landed inside the premises, AFP reports. The White House had to be evacuated after a man scaled the fence and made it into the building before being captured.

The intruder, identified as Omar Gonzalez, reportedly made it into the building before he was stopped.

President Barack Obama and his family were not in the residence as they had supposedly departed minutes earlier for Camp David, the presidential weekend retreat.

However, the incident still triggered an evacuation as officials and journalists were rushed out of the building.

Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary said the intruder was 42 years old and from Texas. Leary added:

“It appeared to responding officers that he was unarmed, which turned out to be true,”

“Gonzalez ignored the commands of those officers to stop and ultimately was apprehended by officers just inside the North Portico doors of the White House.”

“Any time someone jumps the fence, there is a security breach and the Secret Service has to balance security with access and reasonableness,”

Leary also reportedly said that Gonzalez was suffering from chest pains and had been taken to George Washington Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Boko Haram: Terrorists Kill 20 In Borno, 6 In Cameroon

Reports have it that Boko Haram militants have killed at least 20 traders in Borno state and 6 other people in neighbouring Cameroon.

Boko Haram terrorists are said to have launched an attack on a Bornomarket leaving at least 20 traders dead.

According to Sahara Reporters, a resident of Maiduguri, identified asTalatu Musa, said that the insurgents invadedMainok Market at about 1.20pm, yesterday September 19, 2014, and opened fire on the traders.

An unidentified number of people were also left injured by the incident.

Musa reportedly said:

“I boarded a Hummer bus from Jos and as soon as we arrived Mainok, at exactly 1.20pm, we heard heavy gunshots from the western part of the market and sporadic gunshots followed.”

“Hundreds of traders and residents fled the market in confusion, running to cross the highway to the other side. Vehicles passing through the town were also making attempts to flee the town. Many people were killed,”

“As I am speaking with you I can’t believe what I have seen today,”

Another eyewitness, James Bitrus said:

“Many people may have been killed. I can’t say the number precisely but many people were killed. From the way the militants were shooting at the crowd, the casualties should be many,”

“Vehicles were hitting one another and Boko Haram kept shooting,”

Meanwhile, AFP reports that the militants also attacked a village in the far north of Cameroon, killing 6 people.

According to an anonymous police source:

“Boko Haram appeared yesterday (Thursday) around 1900 (1800 GMT) at Assighassia,” “There followed an engagement between them and our soldiers. Two assailants were killed and one soldier was injured.”

The insurgents were reportedly not deterred as they attacked another village, Ganse, two hours later and killed four people.

A local leader said:

“They shot three people and slit the throat of another,” “As soon as we heard shots fired, we climbed the fence to flee into the brush,” he said.” The people killed were buried (on Friday) morning and we are looking for ways to leave the village because our security is no longer guaranteed.”

Cameroon shares a lengthy border with Nigeria, part of which is close to Borno state, leaving it subject to Boko Haram incursions. Thousands of Nigerians are also reported to have fled to the neighbouring country to escape the terrorists.

Therefore they’ve reportedly set a motion to dismiss the lawsuit but it remains unclear if TufAmerica will accept to walk away.

She dumped her husband Daniel Gibson because he was allegedly cheating on her but it looks like like her new man is not any better. R&B singer Keyshia Cole was arrested yesterday after attacking a woman she found with her boyfriend, Cash Money CEO, Birdman.

According to TMZ, Keyshia was arrested yesterday around 5am after gaining access to Birdman's West L.A. condo and finding him there with another woman who had spent the night with him.
